This Printer is a Joke Consumer Reports blew this one. I have had HP printers for years, so when my last one died, I thought why not try a highly rated Brother. Big mistake. The set-up is confusing. It takes up to 5 minutes for a print job to print. I can't print from my mobile devices. I tried Brother's support and it is byzantine and you can't talk to a human. I will trash this printer and buy an HP.
No support for a flawed piece of equipment All in one printer. Could not complete installation. Cost of returning printer was $93.86 via Fedex. Don't feel like I should pay for return of product that does not function.
An absolute piece of crap This thing has been a headache since it was new. It constantly leaves blank streaks and goes thru ink cartridges extremely fast.
Customer service is terrible This printer appears to function well, but be aware that customer service is complex, incompetent, and nonexistent at times. The online complaints about this in product reviews proved to be true. Bad phone connections, snarky reps, and total lack of knowledge as to what department to refer me to. (I was transferred to four different departments just to create an account with Brother, but I finally gave up.) The printer is really noisy.
NO SERVICE FROM BROTHER Do not buy this. It broke in less than a year (I barely used it) and Brother's customer service was absolute trash.
Holds the printer hostage until you buy more ink It prints great quality documents and pictures, but will not let you print if you run out of a certain color ink even if you don’t need it. I had an important document I HAD to print off yesterday and had just bought black ink. The document was just black text, but it would not let me print it because the printer was out of YELLOW ink. Terrible photo scanner I've been using this for close to a year to print and scan documents and it works really well for this. The page feeder on top isn't perfect but it's better than all the others I've ever used. With others I've often had trouble where it pulls multiple pages at once and so skips some pages but this one almost never does this. This one didn't last too long! This Brother printer of mine is a bit less than 2 years old! I need a printer to last longer than this, and next time I won't be getting a Brother! The print is very very faint even though I just replaced all the ink -- the black and the color. Print quality is Horrible! Is there tech support? Printer Not Good for High Volume Printing Disappointed with printer .Printer print quality not clear and good enough quality for reports. Photo quality not good not even on high quality paper. Slower than my older HP.
