    Printer Doesn't Work First I didn't get the starter ink package with the printer. The printer will not work with an after market or other ink. Customer service is horrible! Very long hold times and no help.

    Not a great printer We bought this printer because we heard it was very good. My wife read all the reviews and it seemed OK so she bought it. Entirely my fault for not researching it also. This printer will print - in color. Other than that, it has no features and has a tiny touch screen menu. Having purchased printers over the years, I had always seen the features and capabilities increase with each purchase. We've had HPs, Epsons, and we thought we'd try a Brother. We should not have.     Setup Before i purchased this item, I researched it here on Amazon. The consensus was it was easy to set up. It is not, at all. I have been around computers and printers for over 30 years and this one finally won and I am returning it to Amazon. What should have been a simple process which I have done many times turned out to be a total fiasco.

    DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!? Worst printer ever!! Constantly says paper jam, when there is nothing is the printer!!! Black ink prints horribly, not enough memory to upgrade the firmware, says the color cartridges are empty when they are not! Don't waste your money on this piece of junk!!

    Inoperable Well, I plugged the printer in for the first time, haven't added paper, and it insists there is a paper jam. I tried different things for three hours. No luck. Tried calling customer support. No luck. I bought this printer because it was supposed to be reliable. No luck.

    This is the worst printer I've ever owned I've wasted so much ink and paper because it always grabs too many pages or out of order when I'm doing double sided. It's very difficult to find the right setting before printing. Way too many problems. After one year of use I'm getting a different printer. Brother is rated well but I'm afraid to buy another after this disaster.

    WIFI problems Words cannot express my disappointment with this POS printer. Every phone, computer, tablet, and speaker in the house has a perfect and sustained connection to my WIFI network. This printer? Somehow it constantly loses the connection. Now I can't get it to connect at all. My HP Printer from 2010 never caused me this much stress IN NINE YEARS. Not happy at all with this expensive printer that doesn't perform one of it's most basic tasks. Thanks.

    Good luck if it ever stops working Worked fine for a while then the alignment got out of whack. Followed instructions in manual and after 4 tries was still unable to fix the problem. Nowhere to be found was any way to contact Brother for help. For a $100 printer its not worth fixing, now what to do with all the ink I bought????

    Unplug It When Not In Use This printer worked well for the total of maybe 20 pages that I have printed in the 11 months that I've had it. You see, Brother has guaranteed the need for regular ink replacement regardless of how many pages are printed, as the printer uses copious amounts of ink for its self-cleaning process. I have never owned a printer that has used so much ink but has done so little for me.
