Bad all around Did not work. Tech support ineffective. Waste of time and money. sent back after hours of wasted time.
The Brother Warranty is apparently useless After 2 months this printer started misaligning items in the right register such as vertical lines and decimal tabs across different applications (Quickbooks, Word, Adobe). I needed a printer so I replaced it with an identical model which works fine. Called Brother and they determined that it was a problem with my computer????? Last Brother Printer for me.
This is a piece of junk YET was rated best by Consumer Report It took almost two hours to put this together. It is a cheap piece of work. i don't understand how CR could report is as the best buy. I would gladly exchange it for a rebuilt Envy 4500 which is now priced out of line at almost $200 by Amazon. This Brother machine (more aptly called BOTHER) is probably worth $40 at most. If it was not so much trouble to take it apart I would return it right now and get my money back.
Buy it if you love paper jams! This thing is a piece of garbage. The very first time I used it, the paper jammed. I thought this was a fluke, but then every single one of my print jobs jammed. I’d return it, but I’m just going to eat the cost and maybe just take the printer out to the woods and put it out of its misery.
Doesn't print I used up an entire set of brand new high yield ink cartridges trying to get this thing to print. Amazon tech support wasn't able to help so they connected me to Brother tech support. They took me into a secret cleaning process. Which failed mid-way because the brand new high yield print cartridges ran out of ink. They offered to send me a new set of cartridges. That's nice. Beware of use with ASUS router! Printing from my Windows PC is fine. When trying to connect with my android devices or from my wife's iOS devices, we frequently encounter issues where the printer cannot be found, even though it is connected to and communicating well on my WIFI network. When trying to scan using my Windows 10 PC, the PC usually cannot find the scanner, even though printing to it works fine. Do not buy this printer. This is the worst printer I have ever used. THE PAPER DRAWER ACTS AS THE BOTTOM OF THE PRINTER! SO WHEN YOU HAVE TO PUT PAPER IN THE BOTTOM PULLS OUT AND MOVES THE WHOLE MACHINE WHICH IS BUILT LIKE A PLASTIC CUP.
Better than any of Hell's Printers bull As a person who has gone Office Space on numerous printers, almost out of the box at that, I'm very happy with this printer. Another company, let's say Hell's Printers (HP), makes ones that require you to install their bloatware and go through a painful setup and horrible interface to get your printer set up on your network. Just go simple unless you want to spend $$ on INK This printer is a pain. Hardly ever need it, only once in a while. But when I do need it, it never seems to have any Ink. I replace all four ink cartridges and print what i need to be printed and it sets until the next time which isnt that often. it seems like every time I'm ready to print something tho I have to replace first one of the cartridges then the other three. the Ink gets expensive after the second time you buy it and havent printed out a value equal to what you sp... read more
