DIFFICULTY GETTING COMPATIBLE INK I HAVE WASTED A LOT OF MONEY AND TIME ON THIS PRINTER. I HAD A KODAK PRINTER FOR YEARS. I COULT GET COMPATIBLE INK FOR IT AND IT WORKED AND WORKED. IT'S SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT TRYING TO GET THIS PRINTER TO RECOGNIZE INK CARTRIDGES. IT DOESN'T EVEN RECOGNIZED BROTHER CARTRIDGES SOMETIMES.
This printer is terrible - stays in offline mode and won’t print! This printer will not stay out of Offline mode. I purchased in July 2019 and have only been able to print 10 times since then. Now I have to take it 30 miles away to have someone look at it even though it is still under warranty. So frustrated!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER This was purchased because of a "value" recommended purchase. It is not. Unless you want to have trouble every single time you need to print- do not purchase this item. I am going to finally remove it and go back to my old school reliable ink jet HP. Worst user friendly item ever!
If I could give it 0 stars I would This had good reviews from Consumer Reports, but after almost 8 hours of troubleshooting with my internet carrier, Apple, and Brother, I was finally told by the Brother rep that my mobile hotspot on my phone and my mobile WIFI device is not compatible with the printer. Does not work consistently. This product is very inconsistent, wireless works 50% of the time. I have called Brother support (which is only open during the week) several times while they are helpful, the problem is never resolved. I am using the macOS Mojave 10.14.6 system, don't think this should be a problem. Since it's too late to return this product, I am now going to revert to using this wireless, must now purchase a specific USB cord. Needless to say I am quite disappointed with this purchase.
Brother mulri-function wireless printers Disliked unpacking - as always. Disliked even more enabling the printer function. and I have had several similar Brothers in the past. Print quality is terrible. I've tried several times to improve the print quality but to no avail. I've tried HP and Brother ink jet and both are problematic.
Much cheaper quality than my original Brother I returned the printer because It appeared to be a much less quality machine than the Brother that I have been using for several years. Also, it didn’t upload without several issues. I returned it and continue to use my present Brother printer
Need to turn it off and back on every time you want to print. We have had this for several months. The issue we have with this printer is after an update it now disconnects from the network and you have to turn it off and then back on again before you print. We tried wireless and direct network cable connection and it didn’t matter. It works fine and prints fine as long as you don’t mind turning it off and on every time you need to print.
