Fine for B&W printing and scanning. However, scanning and printing pictures is very disappointing. The setup was easy and the B&W printing is fine. In addition, the ink cost is low. However, I'm very disappointed in the photo scanning and printing capability. For that reason, this is my first, and likely last, Brother printer.
Ehh Slow, noisy, but is adequate for the home use
Not good. Don’t recommend. I have the older version of this same printer. It’s almost exactly the same except the NFC is not as capable. I’ve had it for 3 years now, but I’ve probably printed less than 200 pages on it. Mostly because every time I go to use it, there's something wrong with it. It either wants new cartridges, needs cleaning, or jams the paper. This is seriously the worst printer I've ever used in my 25 years computer experience, and I’ve used many kinds. “Cannot find Air Print printer” iPhone cannot find this air print printer while Windows 10 has had no issues. Very disappointing.
Faster connection to wifi The printer has quite a long time connecting wirelessly to a device after l day or two if not used.
I want to like Brother printers... This is my third brother printer. I'm not sure why I got another one after the issues I had with the second-no matter how many times I reset the wifi, my computer simply could not find the damn printer. So, I thought maybe the printer (which was older) was just outdated. I got a new one. SAME PROBLEM. I read every freaking manual they have trying to figure out what went wrong. No longer takes large capacity ink cartridges; ink too expensive I ordered this to replace the same model which had developed a problem. I was surprised when the black ink cartridge supplied was empty after 5 weeks. I had a left-over large capacity cartridge used in the previous printer and when I went to install it discovered the new printer does not accomodate large capacity cartridges. Dont buy this stopped working right after warrant the yellow said please reinstall and their was nothing the tech team could do to fix it even with genuine ink
Faulty product The printer we received would not connect to wifi, and did not have any physical means to connect to another device. New title: Giant paper weight. Trying to get it to work was a nightmare- going through outdated screens of "tech support," until finally talking over the internet with a customer service guy who walked me through everything I had already tried. Not a good experience, Brother. Thankfully the Amazon return process is wonderful. Unfortunately, that was the only good part of this purchase.
