Good light duty printer, faster than predecessors Bought this 895 to replace an 870 whose black print head died after about 2.5 years. These printers are cheap, and expect to throw them away after 3 years of use. However, this is how they are designed and priced, so within these parameters, they do just fine. Nah... Loud and scary. It sounds like something heavy fall on the floor. Creepy. Slow. Extremely. Pale colors. Not sharp. Blurry. not economical . I don’t know what ink-genuine are you talking about, but I printed some presentation for my work and the black ink is finished at the FIRST DAY after purchase. First day guys! It was about 20 pages of text and images. Seriously?!
Poor picture quality & copy quality This is one of the slowest and noisiest printers I have owned. The print quality for plain text is fine. Pictures are horrible as the colors are so off. Tried making any adjustments that I could find to help and nothing helped. Copy quality is also very poor..very light and distortion in colors. Am hoping to return this item.
EASY SET UP AND USAGE THOUGHT IT WAS VERY EASY TO SET UP AND USE...THIS AFTER HAVING HP'S FOR MANY YEARS. SEEMS A GREAT VALUE.
Good printer, weird USB connection I use a hard wire USB connection. On this printer the USB port is tunneled under the imaging screen into a small recess in the middle of the machine. My USB cords male end would not fit in the recess. Fortunately I had a another USB cord that I could switch out from another peripheral. Also uses up 12" of cord. Dumb design. On the good side no problems at all with software set up, the scanning function works fine and it prints nicely.
Junk printer not worth the money I pad for it I am very disappointed with this printer. I have had for about 2 weeks. I telework 2 times a week. I just already had to replace the black ink. It constantly jams when doing double sided print jobs and even single sided. It crumpled paper when feeding from paper tray. Cheap printer and quality! Would not recommend
Not Worth the money I purchased this printer in January 2019 and had to buy a replacement in January 2020. We struggled with the print quality after purchase. To prevent printed blurry lines, we ran the system through cleaning and alignment cycles regularly. Otherwise print quality suffered. In November 2019 we started experiencing serious print quality issues that would not clear with head cleaning. Paper feed and printer heads went bad Just four months into ownership and the paper jam alert keeps activating, though there is no jam. When it does intermittently print something the lines are out of alignment and missing large areas. After trying to correct with power resets, new ink tanks and the self diagnostics, the thing still will not work right. This is a flimsily built product which has caused lots of difficulties and it has inadequate self-maintenance capabilities. I need a reliable printer at the ready in my home ... read more
