wireless issues I spent three hours trying to set this up with my Mac desktop and Macbook pro. No luck. Called Brother for help, no luck. I have a Brother j885 that is great, but i cannot find the cd to set it up again since I lost connection. I looked everywhere and thought it would be easier to just buy another printer. I was wrong. Called Brother to purchase a replacement cd and they do not have one.
Good printer........sort of. This is my first Brothers printer. Set up was not difficult even though this was the first time setting up wireless operation. The test sheets printed without a hitch so I assumed all was ready to go to work. The first time attempting to print a page I received a "Jam Paper" message. I checked the paper within the tray and could find nothing wrong. After the second attempt to print, another "Jam Paper" messages reappeared. complete crap DO NOT BUY THIS! Bad out of box. everything set up as instructed. Press print and wait, wait, wait 25 minutes here it comes! I have excellent wifi, so this is the printer. Horrible frustrating machine with 0 customer support. trust me, dont do it! what a hassle to return now
Fake jam Printer worked great and printed 3 pages before it reported a jam. When attempting to clear there is no paper jammed, and printer appears spotless on the inside. Will most likely be returning soon.
Ink goes WAY too fast Very disappointed on how quickly the ink cartridges run out. I rarely use the printer, possibly printing less than 50 sheets since I’ve had it and I’ve had to replace the black and hello cartridges and the other two are about to run out.
Brother Printers Will Kill You on Ink I feel like I'm always replacing the color ink cartridges just so that I can continue printing in greyscale! Even when I choose "print greyscale" the printer inexplicably runs out of color ink all the same. I contacted Brother about it (see attached photos) and they said that the reason is the printer does intermittent "cleanings" which require all ink cartridges to have ink. Worst Printer Ever This printer is not worth the money I paid for it. I suppose I got what paid for. The printer is showing a paper jam and I have followed the instruction to the letter to find this non existent paper jam. I have not been able to find it and now it does not work and won't turn off. Do not buy this printer, you will only encounter a lot of frustration.
Worst printer I have ever owned I am fairly good with printers and networking, but this printer is a disaster. I have had problems since day 1 and finally got it work. For the last 11 months I would have to restart my computer and printer every time I had to print. Now nearly 1 year later it doesn't work anymore. Complete garbage...I will never buy another brother product again.
Not reliable- half the time won't communicate with my iMac It's main problem is that it doesn't communicate with my iMac. It is not reliable to be able to print because it won't print so much of the time. It just doesn't seem to be communicating properly or something.
