Poor scanner, prints are ok If you plan on using the scanner on this machine for photos, avoid buying this. The photos scanned so dark you couldn't make out detail. there is limited settings you can adjust in the provided software for brightness and contrast, but even changing these settings didn't help. Nothing on their website allowed for any sort of calibration either.
HORRIBLE connection for wireless printing and/or mobile printing The printer is fine. It prints. It scans. It makes copies. When it works. The software for it is HORRIBLE. I've had HP and Canon printers recently and they are LIGHT YEARS ahead of Brother in both app connectivity and wireless printing. Bad machine, worse "support" I am sending this back right away! I couldn't get it to print from my Apple products. The first step in the troubleshooting instructions was to "print out these instructions". How can I do that when I can't connect to this printer? The "how to print" link came up "404: this page cannot be found". Called tech support and they aren't open on Sunday. With my documents due on Monday? INK HOG JUNK.
Poor quality Terrible product. Scanner works intermittently. Paper feed is very noisy. Technical support very hard to reach by phone.

Bought on 10/22/2019 for $114.99; on 10/20/2019 it's now $89.99 Love the printer; hate that it's now $25.00 less. Tempted to send it back and order a new one for $25.00 less.
About 93%of it all was there, left out the important part Got three out of four starter inks. Nothing more frustrating Didn’t get magneta, now I have to go spend more money to get a new printer. Not happy wrong day for this. Sad robots can’t do their job. Oh it’s people. Even better reason to replace them.
Wireless not working The printer worked OK, until it DIDN'T. I have wasted countless days turning everything off & on, shutting down & rebooting, having long chats with both Brother and Mac, consulting the manual...BUT NOTHING HELPS! I am beyond frustrated. The wireless function of this printer is not working, period. I am exhausted trying to fix it. I need a reliable printer for business and personal reasons, and this is not it.
