Junk. Junk. Junk....JUNK. Nothing but the test page prints clearly. The apps suggested, especially the "Brothers" one did not work either. The only thing this pos has going for it is looks. Aside from that, it is a complete and total waste of money!
Does not connect to Wireless and Ethernet at the same time This printer, unlike the Canon printer that it is replacing, does not connect to both the wireless and the ethernet at the same time. So, I will just go with the wireless connection so that all my home computers can be connected. I like my desktop to be connected to the printer by way of the ethernet, but that won't be possible in this case. Piece of junk When I got the printer, setup was very easy. The test print page was fine and so was the first document I printed. Next week I printed another document and it was very gray, tried two more times with no improvement. Two weeks later, tried to print another document and only got some very faint gray lines but no text. Tried contacting Brother support but kept being put on hole for over a half hour before hanging up. I gave up and the printer is now e-waste; will be getting a different brand for the next one.
Never stays online, have to reinstall it frequently I liked that the print quality was good. But it does NOT stay connected to wifi. Makes it useless unless you want to have a wired connection

Do not add another rubbish in your home See these two - photo printed vs original photo. What a piece of rubbish. With the best setting and best photo paper - I got this print. Is it acceptable?
Sent it back I bought this because I was sick of paying ridiculous amounts of money for HP ink cartridges. And it had a high rating in Consumer Reports. It seemed to connect to our WiFi OK. BUT, it kept losing the connection to my computer (MacBook Pro running latest software). It would connect for one print job, then I'd have to fiddle for 15 or 20 minutes to reconnect. Bad idea This printer had a bad yellow print nozzle. The yellow print was very, very hard to see. I also run Linux and found the Linux print driver is based on i386 software. All of the major Linux distributions are 64 bit now. I do have a Windows 10 system if not for the bad print nozzle that would have worked. Brothers support team was just OK.
