Staff is overall good during the week but would get a 3 on the weekends...staff is more young guys on the weekends & holidays, often sitting around on their phones instead of interacting with the residents. The facility is good and overall clean. It lacks nice outdoor spaces in most of the houses. Most do have small porches w some seating. Activities are good but the resident has to be open or in the mood to do it...wish they pushed them to participate a little more...
My mom is truly enjoying her residency at the Allen, Texas Mustang Creek Estates (MCE) assisted living campus. My wife and I have watched mom "blossom" since she became a resident at MCE. The staff working at her "house" are kind, considerate, and encouraging as they interact with mom. (It is not uncommon, when we visit, to see mom joking with staff, being hugged by staff....) We found Mustang Creek through “A Place for Mom” and it met all of the criteria that we wanted in an assisted living facility. My mom has been settled in her room/house now for about a month and she is quite happy. She seems more alert and attentive now that she has caring people looking after her. The services have taken the burden out of the family’s hands and we can visit with her as family — and not as caregivers.

I had my mom at Mustang Creek several years ago and moved my dad and stepmom there the middle of 2025. Moving my parents to an assisted care facility is very hard. My family and I are extremely happy with the choice we made in moving them to Mustang Creek. My Dad presented many challenges at the beginning and not the nicest person to deal with. I absolutely love mustang Creek it's a five for me I love everyone of the staff members and the kindness and care they gave to my mother. She very well may be returning in the future but we have to give it a go on her living with myself and my husband. She misses it too and I told her if she ever wants to go back we would make that happen I wouldn't have her go anywhere else. I fell in love with the facility the first time I drove up. My mom is very happy there and feels very safe . She has complained about the food being terrible and that it is always cold whether it is breakfast lunch or dinner . Cottage six is very quiet and so she is a little lonely but the activities help so that she can do some socializing with others . They are the perfect place for mom. Her health has deteriorated in a short time and they have taken great care with her.
