The facilities are nice, but there is a complete lack of effective management. Each building is generally staffed by one person, and sometimes two. They must do all of the laundry, resident care, and the daily cleaning. My mother was there for several months and after daily calls from the staff asking me to come help them, I moved her to [facility name removed] Memory Care. My mother was there from about [date removed] to [date removed] and they NEVER changed her bedding. They say they wash clothes every week, but they don't... read more

They are extremely understaffed. It was expensive, for what was paid for 3 months, and my loved one was there less than a month. All places have problems but I would not recommend this place . They do not hae the help that they need. There was missing laundry, and bedding from my loved ones room. They were not deep cleaning like they said they would.

We had a horrendous experience with Mustang Creek Estates, it was awful. We put my father in that place in [date removed] of last year and when we paid the money towards the facility, talked to the director, and talked to the sales person - they were just singing praises. [agency name removed] hospice came out too. One of the managers, she came out and she sat on the table at dinner and spoke to my husband and me and sung praises about how much she loves the patients families, how she's close to them, and visits in the middl... read more

Wish I had something nice to say. Don't move your parent there. Shift change, meals, missed medication and lost medication to start.

Business response:

They put on a great front when you tour, they're playing games, and interacting with each other, but now that my parent is there, its a whole new ballgame. Its basically a day care center, where they feed you three really good meals a day and give you your meds. But, they don't do the activities they proclaim they do or engage with the patients, the workers grunt and nod, and give short answers, even to me when I visit my parent. They are very rude and abrupt. If we can locate another place, we will after the first of the ye... read more

Business response:

Ms. Cox, we’re very sorry that you may have had a bad experience. Seniors and their families are our passion and it’s unfortunate that some activities were affected with the ongoing pandemic. We encourage all of our families to reach out to their Executive Director so that we may discuss and address any concerns you may have. Mom taken to hospital, dies, family goes in immediately to clean up and notify and 3 (three) weeks before the end of the month. They charge $5800 to the family for an extra month. Lawyer owner(s) wording in fine print takes greed to another level. Greed reaches the heavens! Mom constantly complained about sub par food and it being 'cold'. Not a friendly place. She was alone the last two years until she died at Mustang Creek Estates.

Business response:

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We are so sorry that you feel you did not have a good experience. We would highly encourage you to contact our Executive Director at Mustang Creek Estates in Allen to discuss and resolve your specific concerns. Mustang Creek Estates in Allen has been caring for seniors for over 11 years and we are privately owned and our owners have over 30 years of senior living experience but they are not and never have been lawyers. Thank you again for your review.

If you are considering this place....DONT! They will give you the hard sell - only for you to find out later, they told you what you wanted to hear, not what they can actually do for your loved one. If your loved one is VERY independent, they might be ok, but if your loved one needs even the most basic care, TRUST ME, this is NOT the place to leave them. My loved one was there for only 6 weeks when we decided to move him out....we had to give them a 30 day notice to vacate, and that was the longest 30 days of our lives. We w... read more
