We had a horrendous experience with Mustang Creek Estates, it was awful. We put my father in that place in [date removed] of last year and when we paid the money towards the facility, talked to the director, and talked to the sales person - they were just singing praises. [agency name removed] hospice came out too. One of the managers, she came out and she sat on the table at dinner and spoke to my husband and me and sung praises about how much she loves the patients families, how she's close to them, and visits in the middl... read more

We had a good tour but we were not crazy about the format here. We were looking for something that offered more independence.

It's a better value and a friendly place. If you don't have a lot of money, it's a good choice. Everybody that we've met there has been pretty friendly. They provide good care to my loved one. They give her showers and help with bathroom issues. The facility is nice and clean.

Wish I had something nice to say. Don't move your parent there. Shift change, meals, missed medication and lost medication to start.

They put on a great front when you tour, they're playing games, and interacting with each other, but now that my parent is there, its a whole new ballgame. Its basically a day care center, where they feed you three really good meals a day and give you your meds. But, they don't do the activities they proclaim they do or engage with the patients, the workers grunt and nod, and give short answers, even to me when I visit my parent. If you are looking for a fairly affordable assisted living place for a loved one, I would recommend Mustang Creek in Allen. It's unfortunate when our parents are left without a choice and it becomes the responsibility of other family members to find an acceptable, affordable, friendly and clean place that caters to the residents, but I find Mustang Creek to be that place. I am grateful for everyone there.

A caring and attentive staff. Nice surroundings. Clean and well appointed. Seems to be well suited for memory care residents. Not what we need at this time. We did have an issue with the idea that staff (not nurses or med techs) would be dispensing meds.

I really liked this community when I visited. The people I met were friendly. This is an older community with big trees and a lot of shade. This is a beautiful community, unfortunately they did not have any openings at the time we needed.

After touring at different communities I started to realize assisted living was too expensive for one on a fixed income. There are not many respectable options. The community looked very nice but it was just not a good fit. A Place For Mom is great and I appreciate their services, it is helpful.
