Its adequate. Hard to keep staff. Some staff exceptional no others Need more training exceptional.

I would say it's "ok" if your loved one doesn't need much care at all, otherwise they are not the facility I would choose. The director will "assess" which house of care your family member belongs in but she put my mom with Alzheimer's in type A housing with all assisted living residents. There is way too much employee turnover, they lost my mom's medication, didn't inform me she fell and hit her head until I walked in and saw her black eye. The staff at Mustang Creek are friendly and accommodating. When I couldn’t M-F for a tour, someone met me on Saturday. Maintenance is on top of everything. I should have asked more questions about what staff can do and not expected to do for the resident.

Chose based on the concept and price. I can do all of the things they are doing. Needed some help with occasional assistance. Mom pushed her call button 3 different times and no one came. Not acceptable. That's it in a nutshell. PS: resident must love rice, served often.

Activities - Mom not interested in participating. All the rest dependent on who is working that day. Rate All care including cooking/serving is done by one aid for the 10 residents in the house. Some aids are very competent, friendly & able to multi task while some are not able to keep up the pace! I've talked to the manager about this. An expense that surprised me. The staff at Mustang Creek Estates Allen is good, but needs to communicate better when residents first move in. For example: there needs to be a meeting to go over the individual's requirements, not just what the director has noted from speaking to the family. I would highly suggest the family document in detail and provide a copy to each employee. The housekeeping is good, but could improve with deep cleaning. The move in process is bad!! We just moved our mom to Mustang Creek. They are so understaffed maybe 1 person in a house at a time or 1 person in 2 houses. They work double shifts and do not get paid enough. People are always late or never show up at all. They are supposed to do laundry once a week and you have to stay on top of them to make sure it's done. Bathrooms are supposed to be cleaned daily my mom's toilet had feces on it for 3 days until I cleaned it myself. They make it sound like the best place ever SALE SALE SALE you! The facilities are nice, but there is a complete lack of effective management. Each building is generally staffed by one person, and sometimes two. They must do all of the laundry, resident care, and the daily cleaning. My mother was there for several months and after daily calls from the staff asking me to come help them, I moved her to [facility name removed] Memory Care.
