Medication administration is very sketchy. The rooms are not cleaned well. Incontinent care is terrible. I would change facilities if my husband was healthier. Transportation to medical appointments is very difficult to coordinate. The administration is rarely on site, difficult to communicate with

Business response:

Mustang Creek has a state-of-the-art medication system, and we can assure you that upon hire, our staff go through thorough training demonstrating the proper medication supervision process. Our dedicated housekeeping team works hard to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for our residents. We can assure you that our leadership team is on-site daily and always available to offer support, including the weekends. We appreciate you sharing your review. If you have any other questions or concerns, we encourage you to rea... read more

My family member has been at Mustang Creek since mid last year and I was there several days a week making sure that he was well taken care of & that he got settled in. The caretakers are very nice and helpful but you must understand that they aren't nurses (and they don't necessarily think like a nurse either) so they do their best with the training that they received but they don't completely understand that caring for senior citizens is so different because they don't heal as quickly, not all of their symptoms are "just a ... read more

They have improved since we moved her in but initially we had issues mainly with inattentive staff. I would move some to a 4 after the changes were made. I had to complain about the smell of urine every time we went there initially due to them not toileting the residents. That has vastly improved. I would recommend them at this point. They have been responsive to complaints and taking care of the things that we have asked them to take care of. I would have preferred not to have to complain, but the fact that they fix the pro... read more

The feedback is that they took good care of mom for the most part. When they lost their director, there was some shakiness. But that happens with all transitions of power. They were good people. Lost a lot of great people with turnover. When we brought mom home, there was definitely something weird going on with the clothes. It's like she had multiple people's clothes and not her own hanging in the closets. Other than that, they were great, and they loved mom. That is the most important part.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your experience, we are very happy to hear that your mom was well taken cared of with us! Providing high-quality care, comfort and the well-being of our residents is our highest priority. Your kind words about our team mean so much to us and we take all feedback very seriously. Thank you again for sharing your review.

Once payment was received there was no further communication. No move in date or time frame just ignored texts and phone calls. We decided to not go there due to concern for care since we couldn't even get a response on a move in date. This was in December. January 1 they attempted to charge us for another month with no response to my calls. Once payment was blocked for that month they decided to call for nonpayment reasons. We still have not gotten our money back and my loved one never stepped foot inside their doors. Don't... read more

Business response:

Angie – we would like to clarify some points in your review. We do apologize for any miscommunication that occurred after signing the paperwork with us. We did make several attempts to reach you, but unfortunately, we ended up in a situation of phone tag and could not connect. At the time of signing, we clearly stated that the initial fees are non-refundable. We did our best to accommodate you and your family, we did not charge you for January, even though we did not receive a 30-day move out notice. We wish you and your lov... read more

Not enough or nutrient rich food, leaves patients in bed without changing the patients depends or clothes for hours on end (in the pts own urine, feces, puke, etc..), uneducated staff, staff doesn’t even know basic first aid and is not cpr certified, no nurses on staff at all, doesn’t communicate with pt family even when pt is rushed to hospital, etc…. Too much to list. My dad is on hospice and they failed to even notify hospice when he was taken to hospital even after hospice did training with every staff member. He was lef... read more

Business response:

Leslie – We are disappointed to read this review and would like to address some inaccuracies that have been listed. Our staff goes through comprehensive training upon joining our team, along with continuous monthly training, including first aid training within the scope of their care. We do have a highly skilled nurse on staff at our Frisco campus, who is always available to address any questions or concerns. The statement regarding our staff failing to notify hospice is inaccurate, our staff did notify the hospice team as r... read more

Would not recommend the facility. 3 Executive Directors in 8 months. Lack of oversight and accountability. Ask how long the leadership has been in place. How is a problem escalated after hours? What type of training or certifications do the caregivers have? Many lacked empathy.

Business response:

We are confident in our current leadership team and their dedication to supporting our residents and staff, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for our residents. We have clear protocols in place for after-hours concerns, including escalation procedures to ensure resident’s needs are addressed promptly and appropriately. From our Executive Director, Wellness Director and corporate leadership team. Our caregivers go through comprehensive training upon hire, along with continuous monthly training to ensure they meet our ... read more

The experience with Mustang Creek Estates was ridiculous, they charged us so much money & my mom was there for like 10 days maybe.... and we ended up paying over [amount removed] for those few days & then they had the nerve to send me another bill after that for [amount removed] & I refused to pay anymore & I was threatened that I would be sued. I payed it. I will never deal with that place again. It was the Director that was in charge, that woman is a nut job. She has since left there & gone somewhere else but I will never ... read more

I lived here for a few months.. place is understaffed. I don’t blame caretakers. They did their best with what they had. None were trained to give medication. Was dirty, ran out of food..choice of breakfast one morning was a piece of toast and jelly or grits. Once served A bagel, no cream cheese and half a sausage. Served oatmeal on a plate with scrambled eggs and canned peaches..No fresh veggies served. Too many noodle dishes and nothing else served.. No matching dinnerware, utensils or glasses. Given a serving spoon to eat... read more
