If this is the only place you can afford, then I understand choosing Mustang Creek. This was our situation with our mom. We moved her into Mustang Creek in November 2022, and within a month and a half, she was in the hospital having trouble breathing. She was on the verge of getting pneumonia. Staff is consistent about giving meds. Staff is not consistent about other care - getting up in morning, getting to meals, getting to activities, getting showers/hygiene performed. My mother can do everything herself, but needs prompting & encouragement. Not only does MCE not have a nurse on staff or on call, the staff is not capable of basic first aid. My loved one was previously a resident at Mustang Creek Estates Frisco. I would rate all categories at a zero, if I could. I, along with several other families, moved my loved one out of this facility. The laundry was ignored. The toilet was always filthy. They struggle with quality care givers. The good ones leave because of the conditions and too many hours. There was one Sunday morning that there were only two workers for all five houses! My mom is not happy and she feels the place has mostly people who are in very diminished state. Basically, my mom tells me the food is terrible and many times she goes in kitchen and makes herself eggs. Apparently they are getting a new director soon though. I would tell others looking that this really is a p[lace for people who have limited abilities.
We did get off to a rocky start because my loved ones care needs progressed quickly, but overall they have been great to work with. The staff are very sweet and call with any updates, they seem to really genuinely care about the residents. I would absolutely recommend Mustang Creek Estates Frisco to other families.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought it was a very nice tour experience but the only reason we do not pick this community is the cos, it was just a little to expensive.

This was our 2nd choice. They don't have a nurse on staff. I didn't see residents out socializing during the tour, and wasn't sure how this would work for my loved one.

I toured this facility, it's a beautiful community. The layout concept is very unique, however, and wasn't the best choice for my loved one. The rooms of living areas are smaller, bigger common area rooms.

My parent has been there for a while. They’ve gone through several directors in a short amount of time. Residents don’t get food or medication on a consistent basis. Laundry takes forever. The owners couldn’t care less about the residents or their families. As long as they are getting paid on time monthly you’ll never be more than just a dollar sign to them.
