Mustang Creek Estates is an amazing place. My mother moved to Texas from Ohio and I was not aware of the level of her dementia. We were able to place her in this residential home. It feels more like a home than a assisted living facility. The people are all very nice and willing to go the extra mile to help guide you through a process at a critical time. My initial contact as well as follow up personal meeting was with Chris in sales. I also met the administrator, other staff members and many of the residents. Everyone was warm and friendly and it didn't take long to know I had found the new home for my mom! I loved the setting of multiple homes where the residents lived based on their level of care and needs. The services provided were just overwhelmingly perfect! I met with [name removed] and her visiting supervisor [name removed] for a tour. I like the set up where everything is close so my Mom won’t have to walk far for activities or meals. They also said they could accommodate an alternative plan to a point for some of the food sensitivities she has if we provide alternative protein for example. We could also have her clothes washed with her own laundry soap. They emphasized on becoming an expert just like me on what my Mom’s needs are. That was reassuring.

I chose this facility because of the location as well as it's more of a homey environment than other places I’ve toured. When you walk in, someone is always there to greet you. I really love the fact that all of the staff members know your name. They also know all of the residents, where they’re at, and what they’re doing. Everyone is just so attentive. The staff at this community are great. They are accommodating and my loved ones like them, however I think they could use more staff. The staff are caring, quick to respond to medical needs and concerns brought to their attention. They keep up with the laundry and make sure the sheets are clean. We have good communication and the staff are all on the same page. The food is good. The director is awesome and works with the family. My loved ones are comfortable here.

There are some good things about this community, and there is some room for improvement in some areas. I would suggest to anyone bringing their love one into this facility, to make sure they label all their love ones personal items. Many of my love one personal items, and bedding have gotten mixed up with the other residents things. We do enjoy the meals. I do feel they are under staffed. My love one is in the memory care unit, and they have 15 residents, and only 2 care givers. They seem very busy, and stressed most of the ... read more
