I had a Nationwide insured driver hit the power pole in my front yard. It pulled the electrical service from my home and required replacing the entire pole. I have my mailbox, some landscaping, and driveway damage. The agent responded quickly and reimbursed me for the cost to do these repairs myself (around 500$). They cancelled my dog's insurance policy without my knowledge and locked me out of my account so I am unable to retrieve any information. After calling customer service and speaking to multiple HORRIBLE women, they informed me they would not cover my dogs death because he was a brachycephalic breed however his death was due to aspiration pneumonia after anesthesia for dental surgery which had NOTHING to do with being a brachycephalic breed. For the second time in 2 years, Nationwide has provided a significant increase in their monthly pet insurance premiums. This years increase is $25 per month, which will force me to downgrade coverage for my pet. I was expecting an increase, however not of this amount, so didn't pay close attention to the renewal notice that comes in the mail. On May 2 My ********************************* several deer at night during a rainstorm. The vehicle sustained heavy damage! After reporting the claim to Nationwide Insuranc I gave a recorded statement on what happened. I agree. Nationwide dropped our homeowners policy because of wildfires concerns and gave us almost no notice. The document stating they were dropping us was generated on 5/10 but only got here on 5/25. They are dropping coverage on 6/13.We have paid premiums on time for 20 + years for both auto and home. Never a claim of any kind. I would never recommend them.
I was rear ended by a driver insured by Nationwide in December of 2021 and had the absolute worst experience possible dealing with the claims adjuster and every individual that we dealt with at Nationwide. I posted my first and only claim for a pet insurance coverage of 7 months. They automatically denied the claim due to image issues, which was not an issue. I was told to fax in additional documents in hopes I would not continue the claim. This is unacceptable behavior for any stage of coverage but to do it on my first claim was clearly intentional.
They refused a claim on my roof after I had a tarp placed over a leak they had their roofers come out and say that the tarp had ruined my roof and that they weren't responsible but I had another roofing company come and fix the leak and they say the tarp had nothing to do with the leak they fixed the leak and it's been 6 months and no leaks Nationwide just was looking for a way out of not fixing the leak blaming the other company for a storm damage claim I had been with Nationwide for almost 30 years but I left and never goi... read more
One if their agents wrote up my auto policy wrong in March of 2021 and on Thursday someone stole my catalytic converter off of my SUV and Nationwide is telling me that it's going to be **** days before this gets fixed. They are leaving me without a car for that period of time because I am not in the financial position to pay out of pocket for the rental car and now I also have to wait to get my car fixed because I'd have to be reimbursed.
