Recently had hail damage. Filed our first claim in 21 years with them. West side of my house had hail damage (literally holes in the siding) explained to me my policy did not have a "match" requirement in it. Amount they are giving me will not cover the work, not even close. When i asked the agent how they would fix this she informed me they could repair it using leftovers from other jobs. wonder if she wants that on her house? Looking for new insurance company.

If you are looking for a company with good customer service please do not go with ********************** for your Home Insurance needs. I filed a claim on 5/10/22 for my AC and Furnace. I was contacted by ************************* and had verified with him if it was ok for the company to replace my units as it was almost in the 100's where I live and I have small children and pets. He said it was ok to go ahead only to have my claim denied because Nationwide was not able to inspect the units. When I asked him why he told me ... read more

I had a pipe break above my 3 yr old hot water heater. I had 4 inches of water in my basement. I regularly have my hvac checked twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. I wasted 2 days with my agent. He wanted to have the water cleaned up and the pipe repair. I kept telling him my hot water heater and furnace need to be replaced. Nationwide is a ripe off. And people pay so much money for years but when we need them the most the approved our claim just to give us a denial 2 weeks later. Once it was time to fix our truck. We was up front and honest with them from the begin. Guess thats what we get for being honest people. To be screwed in the end. After paying over ****** over 10 years of coverage and never once have we had to use it.

Nationwide is not my insurance company but with the way their agent ************************* helped me when their insurer hit me, I will NEVER go with nationwide! It took them 3 days to call me after my wreck and then they didnt even tell me their collision team totaled my car out, and now I have to pay extra for a rental because the payment for my car didnt come in time.

I had a Nationwide insured driver hit the power pole in my front yard. It pulled the electrical service from my home and required replacing the entire pole. I have my mailbox, some landscaping, and driveway damage. The agent responded quickly and reimbursed me for the cost to do these repairs myself (around 500$). However, they requested paying the electrical contractor directly. I had sent the invoice to them the same day I sent my receipt. The agent asked for the invoice again and I resent immediately. They cancelled my dog's insurance policy without my knowledge and locked me out of my account so I am unable to retrieve any information. After calling customer service and speaking to multiple HORRIBLE women, they informed me they would not cover my dogs death because he was a brachycephalic breed however his death was due to aspiration pneumonia after anesthesia for dental surgery which had NOTHING to do with being a brachycephalic breed. For the second time in 2 years, Nationwide has provided a significant increase in their monthly pet insurance premiums. This years increase is $25 per month, which will force me to downgrade coverage for my pet. I was expecting an increase, however not of this amount, so didn't pay close attention to the renewal notice that comes in the mail. On May 2 My ********************************* several deer at night during a rainstorm. The vehicle sustained heavy damage! After reporting the claim to Nationwide Insuranc I gave a recorded statement on what happened. The claim was assigned to an adjuster named ******** who went on vacation a few days later and my truck sat at the Bodyshop till ******************** came back from vacation!
