Had a Nation wide customer hit my trailer which was parked. Nice guy called nationwide to report, things moved along, claims agent (*****) said to my.. why would you fix that? Sorry *****.. new this trailer is over $100.000 by the way, it was a small claim($2500.00) ***** agreed to pay mileage to and from the repair facility. Sent receipts for fuel and photos time stamped to show mileage on my truck to deliver and pick-up trailer plus Im not even adding in my 2 days off of work to take care of a problem I didnt create. I was turned over to a collection agency for a **** by ex-husband owed. I provided all information to prove I did not have ANY ownership in the home during the time in question. I was the primary holder of the policy when the policy was generated so I am on the hook and I have been reported to the credit bureau. Long story short policy is policy with these people not matter what. Started out I had a slab leak, for which the customer service rep was very helpful. After repairing the sewer system, I was told it would have to settle for 6 months before foundation repair. After 6 months, I reached out and was passed from one rep to another to another. The last one is worthless. No return phone calls or emails. Says he didn't get them, but miraculously knows what the quote I sent was for. They sent their structural engineer out, and then tell me they will pay one quarter of the quote. I had Nationwide pet insurance. My pets medical and pre-existing conditions were disclosed by me and my vet prior to approval so we thought we knew what wasnt covered. However, after six months of vet appointments and continued denials from Nationwide, they then asked me to send a list of every vet visit for two years. So I did. Next they sent me a letter that updated items not covered to literally not cover every single thing my pet went to the vet for. I was referred to Nationwide through Progressive Insurance (we bundle insurance with Progressive). Nationwide home owner insurance was offered at a reasonable rate. I spent over an hour covering the specs of our home, however, nothing was asked about the exterior of our home. They took issue with decks that were not built off of second story landing (which were secured from inside, and are also very common in our state of MN). Nationwide is completely incompetent. I waited over an hour (Im pregnant, it was hot, and I had a migraine) for a tow for a flat tire to take my car 1 mile up the road. Found out the tow truck was coming from *******, ******** when I was in *********, **. Obviously this didnt make sense so I called the tow company to figure out the eta. Positive: getting to speak to customer service agent relatively quickly. Negatives: antiquated system where you have to be the primary on the mortgage in order to interact and complete transactions with insurance agents. I am on the mortgage and share ownership EQUALLY. The mortgage company thought it was completely *** that I wasnt able to ******** or pay the insurance. My mortgage company treats me equally because I AM on the mortgage. Insurance companies need to rethink their policies accordingly

Absolute terrible customer service. My agent went on vacation mid claim and the person who was left with her cases did not respond for a week. I spoke to the manager who helped me right up until he left for the weekend then no response until my agent returned. My car still does not have an estimate from the 2nd shop they sent it to since the adjuster missed damage. Overall this claim has been a nightmare and their agent became short with me when I started calling more to figure out what was going on.Don't expect a quick reso... read more

I recently used my Nationwide hair salon insurance and I must say for it to be my first time it was a terrible experience. First and foremost I had to be the one tracking down the adjuster, never got a call until reached out. The amount I was issued did not cover the costs of the damages to the salon. On top of that the check was just sent out without us discussing it and my salon isn't in the best of areas therefore if I was heard I would have asked if it could have been sent to my home.
