Unfortunately, I am writing this review with nothing positive to say about this insurance company. I have spent over thousands of dollars these past 12 years, close to $18,000 if not more for my dogs insurance. My dog was diagnosed with cancer and has recently died. I had the major medical plan with rider paying $130/month. Over $1500 a year, For what? No idea because they will only pay out $1780 out of the $7600 **** that was submitted. I wish I could give zero stars. We had Nationwide for my auto and home owners insurance. We had a roof leak and had 2 qualified roofers come out and state we had obvious hail damage. Nationwide sent an adjuster who told the roofer he saw hail damage. He did not include this in his report apparently because they denied our claim IN FULL. We requested a second opinion and had a structural engineer come out and they still denied. We ended up having to pay out of pocket for the repair. I immediately cancelled my policy. Like others, If I could give negative stars I would. This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my 69+ years on this planet. My wife passed away in January of 2021, and was a public servant her entire career. She had several retirement accounts, one of which is with Nationwide. Unfortunately, and unbeknownst to me, she did not name a beneficiary on the Nationwide retirement account, and on one other account with a different financial institution. Talked to the adjuster for a claim that the other party was at fault. The adjuster *********************** was very rude and accused me that it was my fault based on the other persons false account
If I could give a ZERO, I would. The Nationwide pet insurance part of this business did not stand by their contract. It is not good enough for my animals. I would never recommend this pet insurance to anyone at any time.
Very poor client service. We had a major plumbing repair and it has been 3 months - after the plumbing repair was complete - that we still have not been able to restore our house to its original conditions as stated in our homeowner insurance claim.
My house sustained significant water damage from an access valve on the back of my toilet that broke while I was traveling out of state. It flooded my house with ****** gallons of water over a 10 days. They have made an already stressful situation worse and more costly than it needed to be, by first sending out a "water mitigation crew" that actually does not specialize in restoration or water mitigation. I called them a total of 5 times trying to cancel auto policy. I found something that was more in my financial situation then what they were. First I had a dude call me and try to threaten me with insurance fraud. I called back to say I still want my policy cancelled. They were supposed to send the cancellation documents and never did. I used the same address with the new company. They just found ways to make it more affordable for me.
