Had a claim for roof damage due to a storm. Started the process in July 2021 and as of January 2022 still have not received payment for the agreed upon damages. First they gave a fraction of the cost of repairs as a settlement, didn't even properly assess damages. That took 5 months (meanwhile the damaged roof has caused leaks inside the house) and then had to fight with them to get a real assessment of damage (our contractor did Nationwide's job by doing the assessment of damage and actually showing up at the property) and ... read more

The slogan nationwide is on your side is false advertising. I was having a rough time with money due to covid. I didnt have enough money in my account to cover my insurance payment. So I got the letter in the mail saying my payment didnt go through. I set up another payment. The website said the payment went though. I thought I was good until I got a letter from the *** stating I had no insurance for 29 days. NYS was going to revoke my CDL license and registration. Please consider other providers. Nationwide is a ripoff. As soon as you submit a claim they will code whatever ailment your pet experienced as a pre existing condition, and not only denying your claim in many cases but any future as well. I'm currently a policy holder but am canceling. I've had this insurance for many years and for many pets so I'm not new at vpi pet insurance VPI used to pull this c*** years ago but after many poor reviews they improved. Now since purchased by Nationwide they have turned back into a that pr... read more

Less than a month after buying our house in October we received notice that we would need an inspection from nationwide separately as a part of our mortgage contract. It seemed very straightforward at first. The inspector was nice enough to work around our schedule as we are two people who both work full-time at random hours. I filed a claim with Next Insurance about damage done to my floor upon delivery of appliances by *** *** *********. The company refused to answer the inquiry, so the insurance company dropped the claim. Completely arrogant, cheats and worthless as *** *** was. Refusal to go forward simply allows the company to damage anything and suffer NO repercussions whatsoever and leave the customer to pay for the damage themselves.

This company has some serious internal issues. I have been an auto policy holder since ****, a homeowners policy holder since 2010. I have always been a faithful customer despite rate hikes and policy changes because for all other claims they came through and in a big way. I neglected to mention that the food reimbursements have been inconsistent. In a long term type of situation they should be granting me an allowance based on GOVT per deim rate for my locale.

This is the worst company ever do not go with Nationwide insurance. If anything happens to you like a collision they will do no investigation and they will find you at fault within days the first time that they did it to me they found me a fault and after I did the investigation myself then they were able to reverse the determination and they did find me to be 100% not at fault. I have Nationwide homeowners insurance. I had a leak in my roof, which caused damage to my ceiling. My roof, by the way, is only two years old and pristine. But they denied the claim because...the roof has been apparently neglected. Just another crooked insurance company doing everything they can to not just take your money every month, but then stick you with the **** when it's time for them to actually do something.
