Nationwide illegally changed the coverages on my pet insurance policy AFTER it was effective. They added exclusions that were not part of the original policy I paid for. Because of this change they were able to deny all of my claims calling them "excluded conditions". This is the most shady company I have ever dealt with and I immediately cancelled my policy with them because they are clearly scam artists. My declarations page showed "NO EXCLUSIONS" for my policy. In late summer we had a terrible storm. It tore up most of our siding and did quite a bit of damage. My husband filed a claim and Nationwide sent someone out to conduct an estimate. After barely looking at the house and taking 0 pictures of the damage, my husband didnt agree with the estimate and questioned the sincerity of the damages. Nationwide illegally obtained my on file credit card information. I have had pet insurance with Nationwide since January of 2021 via an employee sponsored program. My husband switched jobs so we called Nationwide to update his employment information in October. We also called to add a new kitten to our policy. We were informed everything went through. I cancel my insurance policy 30 days before the renewal date and they refuse to cancel my policy they renewed my policy after I told them not to I called 5 times and now they try stick me with a **** please help me
Horrible customer service. They will prolong and deny your claim. Very difficult to get a claim.
I have been stranded on the side of the road twice and both times the tow company that nationwide contracts with took 3 hours to arrive. If you value your life, please don't allow nationwide auto insurance to talk you into adding the tow service. Use another ************ The service is HORRIBLE!!!!

I don't have enough space here to write it all, but all I'll say is scammers. Got into a car accident with one of their clients recently. Not only did they take forever to respond, but they are refusing to fix my car. When I say fine I just want my car, I'll take it to my mechanic myself, they're refusing to give me information about how to get my car and demanding I sign the title over to them. I think that I was done completely wrong by the company, and the service that I should be provided with being that I pay my **** every month. I was locked out of my car while it was running and I called my insurance for road side assistance. I was informed that they were sending a technician to me in 60min. I let 70min go by and I called back for them to inform me that my technician was 5 min away. 7 min passed and I called back and they informed me that someone should have already made it to me and tried to contact the tech... read more

If you want to protect your investment , like your house or automobile. Please do not use this company. Their customer service is horrible. Took them 4 months, dozens of emails and phone calls to handle my claim, which they eventually denied. They will take your money no problem but will never pay out with their generalized lawyer heavy worded policies .
