Dr Eisner and Dr Leiman are my go to vet in brooklyn! They are very attentive and knowledgeable. When my dog tore her cruciate ligament, they took such good care of her. They didn't try to sell me on any expensive treatments like some other vets might have done. The surgery she had was not only necessary but very successful.
While I kind of get some of the bad reviews, I pretty much always go to Dr Leiman and he's amazing. Kind, friendly and goes way beyond, he put in a personal call to a specialist vet who was treating my dog when I didn't fully understand the specialist's diagnosis. And he offered to be a reference on my recent adoption of a new pooch! I ask to see him, unless it's an emergency. I have to admit I kind of like Dr Eisner too and think the bad reviews are over the top, but maybe I get special treatment because she seems to be pa... read more
I've been using these guys for cat care for over 5 years now. I have never been pushed or forced to concede to any testing or procedures by any of the vets there. Some have more experience then others but I have seen them confer with each other when they aren't sure about something which is good practice. In terms of cost you have to understand medicine and, in particular, veterinary medicine. Vets are MDs. if you have ever read your own health insurance statements for office visit, tests, procedures etc. you might faint at ... read more
Dr. Lehman was kind & caring with our aging dog from beginning to end. I recommend everyone I know to go here.
Well, I was a little nervous going there after reading these reviews, but someone had recommended the place...And actually once I read them carefully they made me less nervous than the 4+ star averages certain other Williamsburg vet clinics have with their extraordinarily exuberant customer bases--two of which I've had far more horrific experiences with than a rude employee or overly zealous recommendations of tests I can say no to. (Try misreading a simple ultrasound report that says your dog has the cancerous tumors you we... read more
These guys are the best around - Dr. Eisner and her team have taken care of us since the first time we brought our puppy in. They have gone above and beyond the call, and believe me, we've been in and out of there frequently with our mischievous puppy. They know their stuff, are extremely accommodating, and every time I leave, I'm thankful that we chose them to take care of our dog.
Was surprised to see all the negative reviews here. I've always had good experiences with Northside, and recommend them to people. My dog is easy and healthy, but still, they've done right by me. I like both Leiman and Eisner. And the front desk staff, from what I can remember. I've done my share of waiting, but thats true of any vet I've ever been to.
The 2 and 1/2 star on Yelp is undeserved. I feel that the only reason someone posts on Yelp is to complain. I have nothing but praise. Best vet I have ever taken my dog to. Caring, not pandering. Practical not money-grubbing. Clear in instruction, guidance and very generous with time. Most importantly, very compassionate and caring. I could tell you all of the sad specifics of my dog's health problems but I would rather say that the doctors and vet techs at Northside clearly care about doing their jobs throughly and well... read more
Dr. Leiman explained a lot of things during the exam and recommended what to do and signs to look for in the future. He also commented on stuff I did not even go there for, and the information was very helpful. I agree that the waiting room is too small, which makes it a bit whacky. And I see how it can be a wait. But think about it - there is no ER for dogs. When I had an emergency last week, they squeezed me in; today I paid it forward by having to wait.
