Adopted a pup a week ago during COVID-19 and needed a local vet to follow-up with for his initial appointment. Northside was so great! Quick to reply by email, and very professional. Easy, no wait appointment. Running with the proper COVID protocols. Most importantly, they took amazing care of my pup and the doc called me from the room to walk me through what he needed. Highly recommend!
I am new to the neighborhood and our new Newfoundland puppy addition to my other two dogs prompted my first well puppy visit to Northside veterinary clinic. Immediately upon entering (and keep in mind how tired a staff must be at 6:30 PM on a Tuesday), both receptionists were truly welcoming and helpful with the onboarding paperwork for all three of my dogs and the intake forms for the puppy. My puppy who I just had adopted from Ohio was treated so thoroughly by Dr. Ramos and so wonderfully, I can't speak highly enough as up... read more
I absolutely love this vet and I am beyond happy with the entire clinic. I just wish I came earlier (I used to go to williamsburg vet on Kent - which was absolutely dreadful). At Northside, they are so attentive, kind, honest, and know exactly how to care for the animals. Different class of service. If you love your pets - go here! Highly recommend.
We are so incredibly grateful for Dr. Leiman and the unbelievable level of love and interest that he obviously has in the animals he cares for. We have a small (14 lb) rescue dog who suffers from severe anxiety around strangers, and especially at the vet. Dr. Leiman is always so patient and soothing, and the poor man ends up spending at least an hour with our dog whenever he has a check-up, and he never makes us feel anything less than welcome and cared for. Yes, the waiting area is small and tends to get crowded, but it's s... read more
We've taken our cats to Dr. Leiman for 15 (!) years and while we had to try other vets in emergencies I have never found anyone who rivals him. He never tries to upsell his services. He takes his time, is very clear about what each test tries to accomplish and really works with you when you have suggestions or concerns. He also performs all of his tests and exams right in front of your eyes. (I appreciate transparency.) We have taken our cats to Dr. Raud on occasions and he seems really good, too. Dr. Eisner, on the other ha... read more
I've taken my cat to a few different vets in Brooklyn/Queens, but I've decided Northside will be her regular clinic. Everyone from the front office staff to the techs and the two different vets I've seen have been wonderful. They are very sweet to my kitty, and they make her feel comfortable in an otherwise miserable situation. More importantly, they really go above and beyond with my kitty's healthcare. They always ask me before going ahead with a pricey test or shot, which is SO much better than a surprise bill. I visited... read more
I've been to many vets all over the city (and in other cities) and Northside is by far the best I've encountered, especially if your pet has any serious health problems. They're not currently my regular vet, since I'm not in the neighborhood anymore. But they're my go-to if anything serious comes up. Twice now friends have called me for advice when their cats have had health problems and their vets were unable to help. I've referred them to Northside, and in both cases the cat's problem was solved just by a change in nutri... read more
My cat was limping and I was able to get an appointment the same day. Dr. Eisner was kind, direct and thorough with my 15 year old cat. She diagnosed and treated him and didn't try to push extra procedures or medications at me. Everyone at the office was pleasant and caring as well. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely bring my cat there again.
This place is incredible! Today I was going for a run and this man and I saw this 6 week old kitten fall off the Williamsburg bridge. The kitten was in extreme critical condition and we had no idea what to do and we found this vet clinic. I walked in and told the front desk staff who was instantly concerned and the two owners (husband and wife) they all dropped everything to help this stray kitten. They did everything possible to find out if she could potentially survive. Unfortunately the kitten was completely damaged (the ... read more
