If you have bedbugs, don't call Orkin. After two failed heat treatments by Orkin, they came out and applied what they said was essentially Borax to a bedroom. I think that I would have preferred a 4 year old with a toy shovel and pail do the job. I found mounds of white powder on my sisters cabinet next to her bed. Terrible customer service and contract management. We sold our home 4m ago and we keep having to call and FIGHT them coming out. They told us our contracted ended two months ago but they keep notifying us they are going to the property. Good luck trying to get someone from customer service to call you back. Even when they do, communication to the techs is terrible.

Definitely don't service with them especially if it's the Haywood branch. They'll sell you on the quarterly plan by telling you that you can cancel anytime, no lock in, no fine print (literally word for word on a recorded line) but have you sign a paper in person that says you're locked into a contract for year in fine print, and not even point it out. Don't call them. I called and set up a contract and specifically asked if I could cancel anytime, she gave me a plan I could cancel anytime. She assured me I would receive a call on the morning of the day of my appointment to confirm appointment and time and so they could get more details. Flash forward to 10 minutes ago and then an Orkin guy shows up at my door trying to take my credit card and tells me there's no such thing as a cancelable contract. He never called to confirm appointment. Orkin sucks.

We had a house fire in December, 2022,forcing us to move out that day. It has been boarded up since with the only access through one door. In late January, 2023, some inspectors reported fleas on site, (which we had not had during our years in the house, and this was several weeks after the fire), and requested an exterminator come out. We should be allowed less than 1 star for ratings. I have been using Orkin for some time for spider problems. When we found that we might have a termite problem, the nightmare with Orkin and their 3rd-party contractor was one that has cost me dearly. Not only was our inspector, Derrick Nesbitt huge on the sell, the partnership they have with Mega Fume, Inc., is a dangerous one for homeowners. Horrible waste of time and money. My mouse and mosquito problems have only gotten worse since they came to "help" with quickie half finished meaningless "fixes" and a bad attitude to match. Never ever ever hire them!

Should've read these reviews before I called to schedule with these idiots! They scheduled me for next day with a window of 10am-12pm show up time. 12:30 comes around and I didn't a courtesy phone call or anything so I called to find out where my tech was. Orkin informs me that they emailed me that the appointment wasn't available!!! What!!!! I spoke to 2 managers that didn't seem to give a damn about me as a customer with urgent pest issues. I made an appointment for 10 AM to noon on a Thursday. I took the day off work to meet Orkin at my house. By 1 PM (an hour late) I called Orkin. They said that they would call me back, but didn't. At 1:45, I had to go back to work, so I left home. Orkin didn't show up at my house until 2:20. I wasn't home, so Orkin refused to do the service. This is despite the fact that it was an outdoor only service. Take your business elsewhere. Orkin doesn't care.
