I to wish I had read the reviews, trusted a friend and went with Palmetto. Looks like we all have the same complaint. Palmetto solar was signed Oct 2021, took months to install and when its stalled crickets. No sort of communication. We thought they were up and running. I emailed them and they were quick to reply to give them my info and then nothing. No replies after seeing how bad they had screwed up rhey ignored me. I wish I checked this site sooner. Seems like I have all the same complaints. Horrible communicators at Palmetto. My cousin is/was a salesperson for them and they don't even give him answers. After signing the contract in January 2022, two months later I received an amendment to the contract. I missed the email about the amendment and a month later it expired and I had to reach out for a new document. Palmetto Solar quoted us $8,500 to remove and re-install the panels so we can installed a new roof. The property insurance approved $5,000, after talking to Palmetto they said they could go down to $8,000.00. I have done some research and the going rate for removal and re-installment of solar panels in the area is between $3,000 to $5,000. Meanwhile my roof is not install and guess what raining season its fast approaching here in FL. Oh!! I forgot to mention, if I go with any other company the warranty its voided. We have had several problems with our solar system since install back in 2017. 1 converter when out and replaced. 2 leak in the living room came and patches it up. 3 converter when out again but this time it was the wiring that was bad their fault, they did send someone to fix it. 4 we had another leak in our sunroom which our insurance company said was come from one of the solar legs. We called and was told the 1st time the computer system was down and we would get a call back. The 2nd time I when on line and ask for a leak... read more
My Palmetto Solar system has been inoperative since installation on 12/23/21. Several technicians, over the weeks, have examined the inverter and left with the comment that we will contact you. Nothing. Palmetto has received several of my calls with the same response. I am paying for a non producing solar system from a company with no communication or service. Vic ********** 3/17/22
I have been waiting for two years for 5 solar panels to be added and for them too file a Certificate of completion and proof of inspection for a inverter they installed more than four months ago so that Duke Energy can show that they are receiving energy from our power grid/ electricity.
They lied to get me in a contract I agreed to the system because they said I'd get a 14000 to 16000 tax return strictly for solar tax credit an I'd be able to make that lump sum payment an it would bring the payments down to 125 a month an I'd also get a credit the next year an I'd be able to either keep it or put it on solar panels to further lower it but when I filed my taxes their is no credit this is false advertising an manipulation at its best I'm a single mom I don't understand how they could do this now I'm stuck pay... read more
What I think of palmetto, you dont want to know. I have asked for a rep. to come to my house to explain a few items. I sent a e-mail to Jaydee B on 1-1-2022,and he dosen't have the courtesy to respond. That the way to run a business , I see now why your rating is only 4.06 wish I had reserched you before i purchased. These things that I wanting to get an answer to is nothing major, all I want is the courtesy of someone to respond to. John
