If I could give zero starts I would. My bank sold my mortgage to penny mac at the beginning of the year. It is March now and I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with the trying to set up an online account. As of the writing of this review I still can not sign into my online account. When I call customer service they continue to walk me through the process of creating an online account. I now have 5 different user names and none of them work. It’s mind boggling how incredibly inefficient they are at their jobs. I’m trying to assume a loan I have been paying alone since I purchased the house and I’ve never been forced to work with such an incompetent group of people. Not just one, but every person I’ve spoken too. The first two people were rude and condescending acting like I was an idiot because I couldn’t figure out the application. This company has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Basic requests seem completely beyond their understanding, and every interaction feels like starting from zero. They’re disorganized, unhelpful, and operate like a bottom‑tier mortgage servicer. If you’re looking for competence, clarity, or even the slightest bit of professionalism, look elsewhere.
