I was looking to get a Home Equity, so I reached out to PennyMac since they are with whom I have my home mortgage with. The day before we were closing on the loan, I get a call from them that we cannot close because we needed a payoff letter from one of the loans I was paying off. We had to push the closing to another date. What an inconvenience. Then they use a title company called Townsgate Closing Services. If you have a say PLEASE stay away from using Townsgate. Awful company to work with. When I tried to get set up on a bi-weekly autopay, I followed all of the steps, I received confirmation of the amount and dates the payment would be processed. My husband even received a phone call with the information. When the day came for that payment to come out I noticed that there wasn't any activity. I waited a couple of days and then called them only to find out that all of my effort to get enrolled was pointless and I was right back to where I started. I don't love Pennymac. I had tried to get set up on a bi-weekly auto pay program. I did everything they told me to do. I even got confirmation of when it would start. And my husband had even received a phone call about it. About 3 days after the payment was suppose to be process I contacted them to find out when my payment was going to be processed only to find out I had been lied to and I was not current and couldn't be enrolled in the program.
