One area that needs improvement is how to reach PM representatives by phone. Every time I needed a fast response I had to explain everything to someone new, or wait for a call back.

It was not difficult at all. It felt like a streamline process. The closing was great customer service was great we would definitely refer PennyMac to others.
The team waited until the last couple of days to request proof of the earnest money which was deposited FIVE months prior. The team told us TWO days before the scheduled close that we needed to bump the close up ONE day because the appraisal was expiring. But prior to that checking in on a weekly basis was good. Checking someone's credit REDUCES one's credit score, so I wish that mortgage companies would NOT do that and then say that the score has decreased so the customer has to pay more.
