Tanairy was pretty darn good. The rest of the experience was NOT very good. Example: the underwriter waiting until the day before closing to look at the file and have more questions. NOT OK. Inability to float rate down, not impressed. I don’t think I would use PennyMac for a mortgage for a new purchase again.

Eric was communicative and easy to work with.
I'm big on communication and feel it could have been conveyed a little better. I think what some industry people forget, is that many people buying a home isn't nearly as familiar with the process and jargon. We bought a home 1 year ago, and the communications were more proactive complete (almost as if they were walking us through every step). The constant communication and updates throughout the entire process was amazing.
The process was better than I expected. It was handled in a timely manner and I was notified as my application was reviewed.
Pretty nice to close earlier than expected. If I had to say something that needs improvement would be the checks to creditors.
