Better communication by ACTUALLY following up. I had to contact the VA because Veronica was too complacent. She also assumed out Agent was talking to Title even though Veronica never told my agent to do that. She had poor communication practices and did not follow up on our days we were suppose to. Luckily, I intervened so we could make our closing date.

It seems that department within the penny Mac company do not talk to one another to make it seamless. In my case I was awarded a 100% tax exemption from property taxes and on old loan all I did was call and the loan assist stated that I didn’t need to send them anything! When I did the refinance on the new loan I had to provide the certificate of eligibility and a letter from the county assessors office to prove I had the 100% tax exemption!

We were very unhappy with the appraiser that was originally sent out who greatly undervalued our home and cost us quite a bit of money on our cash out refinance. Even when we were able to prove that things were inaccurate or left off the appraisal we were told that the review team would not allow us another appraisal or re-evaluate what had been sent in.
