This was an great experience. LaTrice answered all 50 billion questions I had. I would use Pennymac again.
We were originally denied the loan due to the underwriters not requesting the necessary information. (Once they received the information, were were immediately approved.) We were not told of the denial until we were supposed to close. It seems to me that a denial should have been communicated immediately so we could have worked this through and closed on time. So the process for placing a loan was fine; communication could be improved.
Great Experience
There were too many pennymac people involved and opportunities for confusion from the start. All of whom were nice, but the directives/information from the initial person, did not match the directives/information from the next person, and so on. It made for frustration on everyone's part. One minute told 'Everything looks great - wait to hear from us' then to understand that the timeline was delayed due to missing documents, and Pennymac had assumed that we were aware of the online process (which was not explained to us), as... read more
PennyMac made the process simple and easy, everyone involved was helpful and courteous and right there when I needed them. Thank you to all who helped.
There was confusion around the reserves I needed to show. On Friday I was told one thing only to find it was not true on Monday
Great all around service very easy application process
The process was super quick, within less than 3 weeks we had closed and funds were in my count. Everyone was courteous and quick to answer my questions.
The appraiser being more upfront about repairs. Also I was told some repairs were cosmetic, and it wouldn’t stop the refinance process. That turned out not to be true as we were made fix the cosmetic repairs before we could proceed. Ceaser was outstanding, great employee!
