Initial communication with PennyMac was great (the first 14 days or so). After that the only communication was from the portal requesting documents. If I were not technology literate I would not have been able to upload and work through that process alone. In the final days leading up to closing it was a challenge to communicate with the PennyMac team. We did not get everything approved until 45 minutes prior to our closing time. PennyMac was pretty straightforward with the information needed for the loan process. I was anxious due to the "situation," but they helped ease some of the anxiety going forward. I have a few issues with some things, but that is my opinion. So, I give them a pretty good recommendation. They helped me to the finish line. Thanks!

Staff is not aligned as it relates to multiple facets of the refinance process, especially clear communication between departments (processing, credit review, loan officer, intra processing. Callers receive different answers to the same question every time the caller calls. If you call 5 processing agents and ask them all the same question, you will receive 5 different answers, so you won’t know what’s accurate. In most cases, neither of the 5 answers are accurate.
