Pennymac refinanced our VA Loan easily, they did all the work!
Penny Mac responded promptly to our request to refinance and made the process easy to submit documents. Kelvey was especially helpful and pleasant to work with and made the entire process smooth and stress free. Our loan closed within the quoted time frame and was overall a great experience.
Smooth process. Better than expected terms. Closing costs were less than expected. Even the closing attorney was surprised by how affordable they were. I just can't say enough how smooth and quick the loan process was from initial phone call to closing!
Most importantly, I said during my request for a quote disclosure that my wife is not on the current loan, nor will she be on this one, or the title. It’s how we decided to structure our finances however Tameka Wyatt added her to the title and said “she thought it would be a good thing to do” even though I expressly and repeatedly said I did not want that. I asked Tameka to remove her from the title, she said she didn’t know how and offered I call the title company for her. Unbelievably poor

Working with Robert on my refinance was easy and the closing was completed at my home so there was no need for me to leave my home. Perfect!
More communication on length of process. Looking at the closing paperwork I saw that my November mortgage payment was added to it. If I had not caught it, my automatic payment would have deducted from my account. PennyMac should have communicated this to me ahead of time and let me know to cancel my automatic payments.
Glad I was able to get the loan closed during this pandemic. The portal link was offline and didn't communicate via email. Make sure you check the portal and click on all areas (it doesn't have a feature on it to let you know you need to provide documents or sign items. The weekly check in's don't always happen, so send emails or call to follow up. If you don't the rate will expire and you might not get them to extend the rate, if you have outstanding documents or items missing.
