We were communicated with directly and everyone was so nice from the beginning. We have been homeowners for a year and refinanced using penny Mac and everything was explained in terms we understood and could follow along with. Any questions we had were politely and quickly answered. Very pleased with our loan process!
PennyMac exceeded our expectations from beginning to end! The entire team was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and very efficient! We closed quickly, and our refinancing process was a pleasant one. Thanks to all who helped make our loan process go smoothly and efficiently!

From first contact with loan officer to loan team to closing, this was a great experience. Jacob was there to help us any time we had a concern. Smoothest refi ever.
Overall ok. I have done business with Penny Mac for a while so I have confidence in there service but this closing experience was below satisfactory.
The agent Abdul was great this is about the process...However, my loan took over 85 days to close! I don’t who dropped the ball but the “pay off” was sent to the wrong place. ( this was 30-45 days into the process) so then they had to reissue the pay off to the correct place. Also, I am having to call places to get the pay off etc Isn’t that the processors job? Keep a long story short even if penny mac were to give me a 1 percent fixed for 30 years I wouldn’t ever do business with them again.
Communication was HORRIBLE. I left voicemails and emails trying to reach anyone on my “team”. All went unanswered on multiple attempts and multiple questions/problems. The phone numbers listed went to voicemails 99% of the time. I had to keep calling until , what seemed to be, accidentally someone answering.
Kelvey Becks did a great job with keeping me in the loop on the progress of my loan. He was very clear on how he would be communicating and also asking what worked best for me. The progress moved along smoothly and my closing occurred approximately 3 weeks prior to the original date. The closing process was quick and smooth. It has been a pleasure working with the PennyMac.
