Communication was great.
Every time I called the service number I was put through an automated attendant that led me to a voice mail. The application and origination process was great. The underwriting process to closing was where I seemed to lose the ability to contact someone directly on status. In the end the loan took +90 days from application to close which was longer than expected, but all items were in order at closing as explained.
The process with Pennymac was easy and efficient with very helpful staff. Thank you to all of those that I worked with!
It took much longer than expected. There were additional request for information after I was told I had everything submitted. Communication about my loan was not consistent and my loan officer changed at the last minute. I had to call several times to find out what was happening with my loan. Ravin did a goods job once she was assigned to my account.
It was great to work with Pennymac. Timeline initially proposed was fairly accurate, and when problems arose they were addressed quickly.
Communication is key. There was a lack of communication throughout this entire process. I was told on many occasions that someone would get back to me and they did not. I was left on hold for extended periods of time, over an hour on one occasion. I spent too much time trying to get in contact with a loan processor or their supervisor trying to get information.
I am still waiting on some corrected documents from closing. The process was relatively straight forward but dealt with a number of different individuals and would have been beneficial to understand that from the beginning.
