I was very unsatisfied with pennymac and my loan officer. While initiating my loan application, I was informed thatI would receive money toward closing since I was not buying down my interest rate. This was considered a VA refinance because it was a new build. The weeks leading up to the closing were very stressful. The loan officer was ill informed and it led to delays in closing. Borrower beware! You may received 10 soliciting calls a day after closing a loan with PennyMac. They automatically opt you in to share all your information with partner companies. I have been blocking calls for 4 months now, listed my number on a do not call registry, and continue to receive at least 4 call daily! I have never had such a horrible experience with a mortgage company before.
