I had no clue what I was doing, but Camila made the refinancing process so smooth. She explained everything very clearly and made sure I was aware of my options. Definitely recommend using her as your loan officer!

During my refi I searched around with about 7 different companies and I had the absolute worst experience with pennymac than any of them. I felt I was lied to the most by them as well. Lastly pennymacs numbers was the furthest off ( after waisting the most of my time then the other lenders). Just a bad overall experience and I would not recommend

Pennymac is probably the worst financial institution to work with. Even though I was told an issue was resolved, Pennymac did not take care of issue. Their customer service is beyond incompetent and their overall performance has been dismal. I would never do business with them and only got to them because my original mortgage company sold my mortgage to them. Run, don’t walk, away from this company. Disgusting is too good of a word.

I'd give zero stars if I could. 1. 2 years ago, they gave me no indication that they hadn't received my payment following my switching bank accounts. There was no email notification sent and the mailed letter/warning came 2 months after the payment was due. By that time they'd already reported me to my credit agency. When I tried to dispute their lack of communication, they failed to reverse the credit reporting so now my credit score is lower than it should be.
