I am the first time owner of an American Bulldog. 5 months old. Last Sunday I slipped and fell on my puppies leg and rushed her over to Brooklyn Cares Veterinary where the front desk reception greeted me with a warm welcome and concern for my lil puppy. Everyone was kind, considerate, compassionate and well trained. They put a boot on my pups leg that she has to wear for 5 weeks! This will now be my go-to place for my pup.
These guys are great. My dog had a test come back "odd" and they did it again no charge. Aisha at the front desk is awesome. Knows her stuff, the computer system, and is the perfect blend of personable and to the point.
Just moved here with my cat- and she decides to get a UTI. Called around and they offered an appointment the next day. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and I loved both the tech and the vet we saw. Hopefully everything is good now for a while, but I know where to come when my kitty has issues.
this is the best place! the staff are friendly, helpful, and totally love animals. brooklyn cares made my dog love the vet and made my roommate switch vets for his cat. ive moved around a lot and had a bunch of different vets for a bunch of different animals, and brooklyn cares takes the cake! they're moderately priced, but transparent about it and understand if you are under financial pressure, so dont worry about being judged or getting a huge bill out of nowhere. make this your vet!
So incredibly expensive, first. Unclear about the wait time, second. But there's free coffee or tea. It's not the worst vet office I've ever encountered. They were able to give me a same day appointment and were attentive to my cat's needs. I'd come again if I ever got another pet. (That one died without me willing to pay almost $2000 on tests that may be inconclusive and wouldn't result in a "cure,")
Started going here in Dec 2013 when I moved around the block and I am so happy with them so far. The staff is always so excited to see the pups and the Dr's really do care about the well being of my babies. Dr Mann agrees with all of the benefits of waiting to spay my dog, which I thought was going to be a battle. And today he offered having titer tests done instead of knee-jerk vaccines every 3 years, so I know that they are not just in it for the money. If it weren't for the low quality food recommendation I would give ... read more
I felt a lump in my pups throat and immediately emailed Brooklyn cares since it was after hours. I received a reply within five min addressing my concerns personally and was able to schedule a quick appointment. I was greeted by the two very kind receptionists and then seen by Santiago who was personable and addressed all my concerns. My pup warmed up to Santiago right away. Dr. Liff was soft spoken and reassuring. She examined my pup thoroughly and was not rushing. They offered other services and products without pressure. ... read more
I brought my Pomeranian puppy into the clinic today for a first exam and vaccines. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond in giving helpful advice for caring for a Pom. They seemed to really care about my little guy, which was greatly appreciated!
Unfortunately, we found out that my cat had a heart murmur that required an additional pricey test to make sure it wasn't a sign of something more serious, but fortunately, the test results came back negative and we were given a clean bill of health. Other than that unexpected expense, the visit with the veterinarian was short and brisk, but when I inserted myself and asked questions, he was happy to answer them and explain things further. The rest of the staff was very accommodating and friendly as well, and didn't make ... read more
