I hardly post reviews but felt that need to write something on behalf of Brooklyn Cares Veterinary Clinic and Dr Liff who continue to impress me with their top notch customer service and medical care. Dr. Liff has also been really fantastic in following up with me throughout my dogs medical issues allowing me to email her notes and pictures, and speak by phone when needed, even in her 'off' hours (and she has initiated calls me to check up, which really is above and beyond!) Nice clinic. Staff is knowledgable and patient to answer questions. Once we even had a dog walker bail on us and called them for some suggestions for replacements only to have one of the staff offer to take care of our pup when they got off work! Overall: passionate kind and great place to take your pup.

My little dog has been going to Brooklyn Cares ever since he arrive in NYC about 6 years ago. They love him and have always given him the best care. He recently passed away and the response by the clinic was remarkable. I felt completely taken care of and that this team of amazing people was right there with me the whole time. Their after care included calls, flowers, a beautiful card signed by all the staff and a paw print. They took care of managing all the final arrangements. So I feed my dog on a Raw diet which many vets don't approve of. I approve of it, he is my dog, and that's that. So I was referred to Dr. Liff when I was complaining to a mutual acquaintance that I cannot find a holistic vet in my area. He mentioned Dr. Liff so I checked her out and made an appointment for blood work and a general check up (I know he is healthy right now, but this is a good baseline). The staff from the front desk to the Vets are wonderful. It is obvious that they care about your animals and you! The place is clean and has a laid back vibe. Brooklyn Cares Vet was recommended by a trusted friend, and we will definitely be coming back.

I like this place, the staff is very friendly and well trained. I have confidence in their knowledge and ability to treat, however I would appreciate more transparency on costs. Took our dog in for a couple of vaccines (bordatella and proheart6) and was surprised by a needed blood test to administer one of the shots, a significant additional cost. Would have stuck with the cheaper option, heartworm medication, had I been given ample notice in advance of walking in the exam room. Overall though, great place to bring your dog... read more

Three incidents this year (older cats get all kinds of issues) and I have never been happier that Brooklyn Cares is my vet of choice. Dr Mann is great, and we've had a chance to get to know Dr Liff and she's fantastic as well. Both display a gentle expertise that puts me at ease, which hopefully puts my cat at ease. This vet donates 10lbs of dog food to charity for every Yelp review (good or bad.) I thought that was pretty cool so I created an account and here it goes: I've been taking my dog here for years. He has severe allergies and other health issues so unfortunately I'm in there a lot. The staff is super nice & professional and they genuinely seem to love animals. Fast affordable service! Clean professional and friendly! As a side note they have complimentary coffee, beer, and wine for while you wait, which is really nice of them- They gave me a cost range and made it easy to choose the services I wanted and how to see how much each would cost. Definitely my go to choice in the future!
