Okay, so this review is coming in more than a year late. But, seeing as I've had ample time to reflect on my experience, I see the time taken as an upside. Took my dog here for her first check up and the staff was extremely friendly. I'm a tech fan, so making the appointment online, having my dogs information available, and doing everything online made it very easy. She had a full check up, shots and blood work included. The one negative was the price. Granted, you're in the city, but I spent over $500 on just the check up and everything, not including all of the medication they suggested. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Brooklyn Cares Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Mann is incredible and cares very much about my cat and the vet tech has remembered her from the last few times we've come in. It is definitely priced on the higher end but I absolutely think it is worth it. I am always able to book an appointment without much advanced notice and they respond to emails almost immediately. Brooklyn Cares is not my regular vet, but an emergency trip required an emergency vaccination. Brooklyn Cares was open on a Sunday, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Dr. Liff was professional and approachable. Customer service was polite and excellent. The facilities were clean, attractive, modern and comfortable. I really enjoyed the visit, enough to consider switching. Prices are a higher than my regular vet, which gives me pause, and demerits a star. I don't normally write reviews, but felt that the amazing care my dog received at Brooklyn Cares merited a vote of confidence. I took my female poodle in for an emergency appointment, and she ended up having to have very intense, sudden surgery (for a rupture in her uterus). The prognosis was not good, and I was very nervous. The staff (Dr. Mann and Amelia) didn't sugar coat anything (which I appreciated) but were very reassuring and upfront in their communication. I just took my two boys (cats) into Brooklyn Cares for the first time yesterday. Amelia, the Vet Tech, was a delight and asked all the right intro questions about their tendencies, digestion and nutrition. Dr. Liff was extremely thorough, made very good recommendations and was transparent about cost the entire appointment, even recommending certain treatments for next time in case we were on a budget. I've been taking my cat, Relish, here for well over two years. The vets are very kind and have diagnosed Relish w/ ease. I have experienced some customer service fails though. It seems that the techs at the front desk get very overwhelmed when there aren't too many people in the waiting area. The last time I arrive a half hour early and the vet saw me right away.

This place is so helpful and staff is really knowledgeable. I had to come in on a Sunday as a walk.in, I had a really sick kitten and NO budget, so they worked with me to give me the best options within my financial range, and best for my kitty. They even called the next day to check up on him. Won't even mention the free drinks they serve...
