Get directionsSpent close to $100,000 with Radiant to get them to replace all 5 a/c zones in my home a year or two ago. Have started having issues with clogged condensation lines and poorly operating units. Greatest frustration is that they have no after hours / off hours emerg service ( EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIM TO IN THEIR ADVERTISING) and when they do eventually show up, it's with a poorly trained technician with no experience in my home. VERY poor resu and experience with this company
BEWARE!!!!!! This company will take advantage of you and squeeze every dollar out of you they can. Radiant came out to assess why our AC wasn't working and quoted us $6,000 to fix our 4yr old unit. The tech provided us with "good, better, and best" quotes, which was clearly just a sales ploy. He also said there were so many things wrong, we could even look at installing a new unit which would run us $15-25K. We got a second opinion and had another technician come out the same day and fixed the issue for $200 in less than 1 h... read more
Radiant tried to take advantage of our family when our AC wasn't working. Instead of fixing the problem they tried to sell us a $15,000 new system that we didn't need. We had someone else come and fix it for a few hundred dollars. Radiant is a dishonest company, and I would strongly recommend against using them. I don't trust them, and I think that they prey on customers instead of helping them. I almost never write negative reviews, but I feel I owe it to my neighbors and community to post this.
Our A/C stopped (threw a breaker, which it's done before). One of their technicians came out. He threw the breaker and it immediately tripped again. Then I watched him pull and replace wires in the outside unit. When he threw the breaker switch again I heard a troubling "fruummp!" Now, I'm not saying he did anything wrong, but the sound was definitely different as he proceeded to say, "Your compressor is locked and it'll cost you about as much to replace as getting a whole new system." "How much is a new system?" I asked $... read more
One of your salesmen came out yesterday to quote me a price on a new HVAC system. He showed up just as Stan's was leaving. He actually pulled up and then saw the gentleman from Stan's walk out so he pulled off not knowing that he was leaving. I waited a few minutes and called the number provided on the text I received thinking it went to him. It was actually the office. I explained that the salesman left and I was wondering if he was coming back. She put me on hold and during that hold the salesman pulled up to my hous... read more
I used to love radiant...but the past couple of times I had them out I was incredibly disappointed. We had just had our house painted & decided to get our hvac system cleaned. They messed up our walls with the equipment & we ended up having to get everything retouched up. The lack of respect for myself & my house was unacceptable. Not professional & very expensive. I only gave 1 star because I'm not able to do
I had previously used Radiant, however, I was bombarded by the constant attempts at upselling so switched to another major company in Austin and have been happy with them. Today, I realized I will be a customer of SALT...and here's why. Radiant upsold me (and my nephew in HVAC said this one thing was a good idea) a filtering system and an infrared light that was ostensibly to take out bacteria (forgive me, but I don't know appropriate nomenclature for HVAC things.) Since my HVAC is in the attic, I can't really get up there ... read more
The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. 3 yrs ago we had them install two a/c units in our home. Both Goodman units. Both units have failed. One failed immediately and had it replaced with a Trane unit. The other unit's compressor failed a few weeks ago. It's still under warranty but of course the labor is not. These idiots want 3,000 dollars to fix. We have paid over 27k for the two units. I don't blame the manufacturer, I blame radiant for a shitty install. It's all about installing them correctly. Pl... read more
Business response:
We apologize for any issues with your system and have worked diligently to honor your warranty and get them fully functional. We're glad you're up and running and if there's anything else we can do, don't hesitate to reach out!
Radiant is downright terrible and full on rip off artist easily at least 2x-4x (or more) what a regular job should cost. A recent experience: I asked for a quote to replace 2 rubber gaskets between the tank and base of my downstairs toilet where it was slowly leaking. I was told: (1) they could not do a 'partial repair' and offer any kind of safeguard or warranty for the work done - they could only do that for a FULL replacement - so he said he needed to replace the full toilet. (2) that the ceramic of my tank for my ... read more
