The main issue is their pricing. I had a pinhole leak in the main 3/4 in pvc feeding water to my house. I knew where the leak was and the ground was wet so digging was not really an issue. I am disabled, so I could not dig down the 12-18 in. required. Their tech was nice fast and pleasant in the 100+ degree heat. It took less than an hour to dig the hole, cut and replace the pipe (but I will give them credit for 2 hrs.) and replace the dirt. Their $700 price was over 3 times what others have given me as a quote but they... read more

Don't bother unless you have a lot of money to waste. They couldn't even tell me what tests/equipment they used for leak detection or where specifically the leak was, desptie my asking them several times for this information. It seems like their standard quote for work is $17k no matter what it is. They are not transparent about what they charge per task so it's impossible to know how they came up with this figure. Other companies came in at 1/3 the cost. Unless you just enjoy getting ripped off, go elsewhere.

Business response:

Thank you so much for the feedback! Radiant cost has 3 main parts. Direct cost (items, parts, employees), Indirect cost (Customer service), and profit. There is no standard quote as each customers needs are unique. Have a great day!

Stay away from this company. The management is only our to make quick money. They charge high prices and the technicians are not allowed the time for good work. I hired Radiant for A/C maintenance and was happy with the routine service. When I had to replace two A/C systems I hired Radiant despite their quote was 50% higher than competitors. I didn't get the excellent work promised as the justification for the high price. The technicians had to replace both systems in one day instead of the explained two days. The ducts were... read more

I have been a Radiant customer for the better part of 8 years, but after my last two experiences I can't continue recommending them. I have 2 AC systems in my house (a two ton system and a three ton system) both are 6 years old. They replaced the evap coil in the 2 ton system ($6200), and checked the 3 ton system. No issues on the 3 ton, and everything looked good. Weeks later the 3 ton system goes down. I called Radiant, and low and behold they want another $6k+ after telling me the system was fine with no issues just ... read more

Business response:

Chip, We apologize for the issues you've experienced with your AC systems and the inconvenience it has caused you. We understand your frustration and concern regarding the pricing however, we did try and help with the cost and offered an discount and unfortunately you had decided to go with another company. We have truly valued your loyalty as a long-term customer and we sorry that we could not come to an agreement.

Our AC went out in the height of summer in Austin when the temps were over 100 every day, which means ALL AC repair companies were incredibly busy. We are not unreasonable people, we understand that. So we made an appointment three weeks out and decided to get out of town in the meantime while we waited for our AC repair appointment.   Over that time we never got an email or call confirmation from the company and so were very concerned so we called. Come to find out because the previous owners of our house had used their se... read more

Business response:

Lauren, we apologize for the scheduling error on our part. This is being addressed directly with our management team for us to improve.

I hired Radiant to find the incoming water pipe on our property. After making an honest effort, he said, "I can't find it. That'll be $200" Incredulous, I called Radiant later and the Technician confirmed this was their policy. It seems that failure to accomplish the stated goal is still a billable service. I hope your experience is different, but if you have a leak and they can't find it, you might just want to keep your credit card out.

Business response:

Richard, we would love to review this further. Please give us a call (512)263-9988. Thank you.

I am a Registered Nurse, work from home and take care of my 81 yr-old mother who has asthma and is on Oxygen 2Lpm. Over a week ago our AC unit needed replacing. We purchased a new AC unit from Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning and they sent two Lead Installer's to our house with the unit on 08/04/2023. About three hours after they began working, my mother came to get me because she was having difficulty breathing. She stated, "there is a terrible smell in the house and I'm having trouble breathing." Immediately, I asked ... read more

Business response:

As stated by the lead installer by code per state and federal law, we have to use primer and glue on all pvc connections. We appreciate the feedback and hope you have a great day!

Radiant Plumbing is by far the worst company to deal with. They installed a cheap pump for me that failed a couple months after the warranty run out. Then they charged me $4.5k dollars to install a new one and it's been over a week and still no installation. I need help contacting someone about theft and job abandonment. They haven't completed the job and they haven't returned my money. Someone please let me know a good lawyer or way I can get my money back from a contractor who doesn't complete work. I'll never pay first ag... read more

Be cautious if you are looking to replace your HVAC with Radiant!! We purchased a new Goodman HVAC system in June 2018 from Radiant, having used them in the past, along with a 10 year extended service warranty. We were assured by Radiant that the Goodman was a good as a Trane (which were not available at the time) and would last 10-15+ years. Last year, our HVAC went out in early May. We called Radiant and had a five day wait (in 100 degree weather) until they could come out to check our then four-year-old system. They charg... read more
