I had a problem with my coils freezing which resulted in the house not cooling. I tried a retail coil cleaner and hair dryer on the frozen coils, but it did not fix the problem. I had an appointment and asked how much it would be to clean the coils, even before anyone came out. I got a refusal to answer and was told a tech would let me know. When my air conditioning broke in mid-June, I gave them a call, scheduling the service out two weeks on a Wednesday when I would come back from out of town. I confirmed the appointment the prior Monday, by which time my home was 90 degrees at night. Wednesday morning rolls around and I receive a call from the technician, saying he would be coming out and would he need a ladder? So I sent him an estimate of my home's height, a two story building. On 5/22/23 at 1:55pm, I received a call from a Radiant representative soliciting HVAC checks for my residence. I agreed, since I do have some older units that have been problematic. The rep stated they had an opening from 8:30-12pm on 6/13 (3 weeks later) for the requisite checkout, and the appointment was therefore scheduled. I called Radiant today 6/13, 7:30am, to confirm the appointment, since I had rearranged my schedule to be home for the requisite service, and wanted to ensure it was in fact still on as scheduled. ... read more

One star is being generous. I spent $15k on a brand new unit indoor and outdoor a year ago and tech came by late in the day and "fixed" the issue and it'ds 10 pm same day and my family is sitting in effing heat! Radiant has a late night service answering calls but no one to call for AC tech to come by. So what is the point of after hours service call? Ridiculous!!! Definitely do not recommend this company. They absolutely suck. They take their company and leave customers out in the heat!!! Now I have to rent hotel room... read more

I used Radiant when I first moved to Austin. They advertise heavily by billboard, TV, and online and you're sure to see their shiny new vans and trucks around town. If you're searching for a plumber in Austin they're easy to find. Unfortunately someone has to pay for all that advertising. And that's you, the customer. Once I started comparing quotes on plumbing jobs I realized Radiant is typically twice the price of other plumbers and frequently more like 3-4 times higher. Worst company ever - overpriced over every other company out there by 3-4x. They have to charge so much to make their really lame commercials. Don't fall for their "we are customer oriented". They are far from it. They get their google reviews boosted as google is easy to remove reviews that are unfavorable. Their favorite tactic on here is to claim "we don't see you on our schedule" which implies you are making up your opinion. Run away from them as fast as you can. Horrible.

Called radiant for a late night service because my AC wasn't running. Radiant quoted me a price that sounded pretty high (4 digits), but I was desperate so I agreed. They never showed up. Called another local company in the morning after staying up all night waiting for radiant to show up. The newly hired company came out with in the hour and performed the repair for 1/10 of the price quoted by Radiant not including the "after hours fee". Wish I could have charged them a "no show" fee.

"RIP OFF" RADIANT!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN PRICE GOUGING LIKE THIS. For a 30min service to replace $30 worth of parts. Charged over $650. No itemized bill to show the labor and fuel cost. Absolutely shocked to be billed that much. When complained, got a 20% reduction which is borderline insulting. I would steer clear of Radiant if you dont want your wallet to be taken advantage of.
