Get directionsBeware of scare tactics. I had drains backing up from the toilet and shower. They charged me a high service fee to just show up. Then they fixed the issue just enough to last a day or two and waited for me to call them back to fix the issue again. They gave me two options; one for $65,000 and the other for $95,000. I waited to get a second opinion from another plumbing company who pulled out two root balls and got things flowing for the next 6 months or so. Again, please get multiple quotes as always. But please don't use R... read more

Thanks so much for the feedback. Our trip fee is $39 dollars which is waived if further service is performed. If the service is after hours then we may have a $159 dollar trip fee. Also, the options presented were specifically related to the home we went to. Prices may vary depending on the scope of work, size of the home, and a variety of other factors. We are happy to hear that you found service that you felt better suited your needs. Also, could we further clarity of the scare tactics mentioned? We want to ensure there ar... read more
My wife and I had Radiant come to home for a leak repair on a pipe between our garage and kitchen. To allow easy access we authorized the tech to directly access the pipe through our kitchen wall cutting the sheetrock. The repair included two elbow joints and 11 inches of pipe and was straight forward and quick. The charge was $938. We strongly believe due to the urgency(no hot water) and my unavoidable absence due to work travel, that Radiant price gouged for this repair. We would strongly recommend not using Radiant f... read more

Thank you for speaking with us, Mark. While we understand we are not the cheapest in Austin, we strive to remain as competitive as possible and ultimately our pricing is standard for each job. Thank you for all the feedback you provided.
I think these people might be scam artists. I paid TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR NOTHING! The problem was a sewer drain from the apartment in back of the house backing up in the the apartment. They dug up a good portion of my clay pipe and replaced with PVC. Worked well for about a month then it happened again. I asked them to come back because obviously the problem was not fixed. They asked for $350 to clear the pipe from where they stopped to the street. I refused to use them again if they were going to charge me for s... read more
I previously posted a five-star review but in the interest of providing community service I feel compelled to write a second review. The first review commended Radiant's prompt and professional service in the face of a plumbing problem. I stand by that. However, as has been written in this space about estimates, costs, etc., I am providing a second perspective. I was quoted $50,000 to replace a limited run of sewer line (including the necessary tunneling) and a separate $1400 to replace a toilet flange and new toilet. The bi... read more

Wendy, please give us a call directly at 512-263-9988. We would love to review this further with you.
A/C unit is less than a year old and the parts keep failing. When the coil failed, the compressor started to overheat and I asked if we'd need a new one. They said it wasn't necessary to replace it. As soon as the coil was replaced, the compressor failed and it takes 2 days to get a new one because they don't have any in their warehouse. With 2 babies and a Texas summer, staying home isn't an option for us. They offered to get us portable A/C units for our rooms but never followed through. Call after call, the dispatch team... read more

Thank you for you feedback, Melissa. We apologize for the manufacture failures that occurred. Please give us a call if there is anything further we can help with 512-263-9988.
The main issue is their pricing. I had a pinhole leak in the main 3/4 in pvc feeding water to my house. I knew where the leak was and the ground was wet so digging was not really an issue. I am disabled, so I could not dig down the 12-18 in. required. Their tech was nice fast and pleasant in the 100+ degree heat. It took less than an hour to dig the hole, cut and replace the pipe (but I will give them credit for 2 hrs.) and replace the dirt. Their $700 price was over 3 times what others have given me as a quote but they... read more

Brad, please give us a call at 512-263-9988. Our management team would love to look further into your account and review the prices you discussed. Thank you!
Don't bother unless you have a lot of money to waste. They couldn't even tell me what tests/equipment they used for leak detection or where specifically the leak was, desptie my asking them several times for this information. It seems like their standard quote for work is $17k no matter what it is. They are not transparent about what they charge per task so it's impossible to know how they came up with this figure. Other companies came in at 1/3 the cost. Unless you just enjoy getting ripped off, go elsewhere.
Business response:
Thank you so much for the feedback! Radiant cost has 3 main parts. Direct cost (items, parts, employees), Indirect cost (Customer service), and profit. There is no standard quote as each customers needs are unique. Have a great day!
Stay away from this company. The management is only our to make quick money. They charge high prices and the technicians are not allowed the time for good work. I hired Radiant for A/C maintenance and was happy with the routine service. When I had to replace two A/C systems I hired Radiant despite their quote was 50% higher than competitors. I didn't get the excellent work promised as the justification for the high price. The technicians had to replace both systems in one day instead of the explained two days. The ducts were... read more

Hello, just wanted to check back in with you. Can you contact us at 512-263-9988.
I have been a Radiant customer for the better part of 8 years, but after my last two experiences I can't continue recommending them. I have 2 AC systems in my house (a two ton system and a three ton system) both are 6 years old. They replaced the evap coil in the 2 ton system ($6200), and checked the 3 ton system. No issues on the 3 ton, and everything looked good. Weeks later the 3 ton system goes down. I called Radiant, and low and behold they want another $6k+ after telling me the system was fine with no issues just ... read more
