Go to your credit union Take all necessary info to get your loan processed to then still have the bank/ credit union its actually through ask for similar paperwork. In the end you do the same thing twice. Take the middle man out and just go to bank/credit union.
Almost regretting it.... I thought it would be a good idea to refinance my loan, and after comparing prices with Autopay I decided to go with Rate Genius. Inaccurate financing documents!. Rate Genius' process is very slow; they seem indifferent to actually completing the process; the closing documents were full of errors (not in my favor!); and customer service is practically non-existent.
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BS!!!!. I HAD TO GIVE 1STAR!!!!! Before you add a hard inquiry on your credit report please read. My pre approval said it would lower it over 10% on the interest rate and almost $200 a month. My credit improved 82 points since I originally bought my car so I believed them. Ok so they called me with a loan that didn't lower it not even 1% and they stretched my loan from 56 months to 72. So do not believe them if you don't want the hard inquiry.
Auto refinance Run multiple hard inquires on your credit. Slow and poor communication. Terrible experience. Stay away.
hidden fees I applied and was approved. The process was simple and hassle free. But once the loan process was complete, I discovered the new loan was $795 higher than my payoff on my old loan. During the process, the only fee mentioned was $23 fee to join the credit union where the new loan was processed. The purpose of refinancing was to save money. I am left wondering "how much did I really save". I don't recommend any company that is not up front with their fees.
Wouldn’t apply again!. Bait and switch. Promised a lower rate, but offered the same rate that I currently received with my credit union. Hit me with 2 credit inquires without my permission. Avoid this company, lied and said CK did the credit pull and not them but their name is on my credit report. Waste of time.
Hard pull that lowers your credit score.. Credit Karma and rate genius are engaging in fraud tactics by claiming its only a soft pull when its a hard pull. Be safe and try other more trustworthy companies that don't engage in such bad behavior.
Committing fraud with hard pull... Credit Karma and rate genius claim it will be a soft pull but they do a hard pull so be careful and go with other trust worthy company that are not involved in fraudulent practices.
