New to sail internet for a week. upload speed is good, but the service down twice already in couple days. First time was 30 minutes, and second time is more than a few hours. Not recommended. Update (6/1/2021) Sail is working hard and response very quickly to solve all issues. I signed up the minimal Comcast internet as a backup plan. Sail is kind to reimburse the first month of the payment. (thanks) If Sail is stable for a few month, I will drop the Comcast later. Update the review from 2 to 3 stars for this mont... read more

I switched to sail in July 2020, lured by their offers of unlimited data, 200MBPS download and 100MBPS upload speeds at a predictable $55 per month. Speeds were great in the first month before others in the neighborhood also switched. Multiple issues with Sail's service including speed reduction to 30-40 MBPS during the day, high latency of 25-30ms which is evident in all video and heavy data applications' response times, high time to first byte which means your WhatsApp videos, youtube and others will make you wait longer t... read more

Business response:

Hi Sudhendu, We're always sorry to hear that someone had a bad experience with our service and sorrier still that we don't have an opportunity to remedy the situation. We hope that you will give us an opportunity to win back your business in the future.

Sail Internet has been a hit/miss for us in the Mission SJ, Fremont area. They started well last year with 200/150MB speeds. But this year has been horrendous. Speeds drop to 30-50MBs during the day time. Have reported multiple times and always get a courteous reply they are working on it and may add more capacity to this area in future. Will observe for few more months and if things don't improve will have to move reluctantly to the Comcast or ATT.

I've had Sail Internet for about a year now, and am motivated to write a review because of the excellent customer service. My Internet was intermittently dropping down to the teens, wreaking havoc with some of my meetings. I filled out the online service form and they responded by email within minutes. I tried their suggestions, which didn't work, and was about to try some other things when they called. The support representative spent over a half hour on the phone while we tried different things and found out the problem (m... read more

Just installed my sail today. The service guy is very professional and came on time. The test speed was close to 200mb/100mb at the beginning. But it drops to 100~150mb/50~70mb later. Not as fast as the owner mention in Yelp (300/200mb.) Not very stable speed. Drops under 50mb sometimes. Continue test.... see what will happen during different weather. Location: Milpitas, CA

Business response:

Hello Jed, Thank you for reaching out. I've taken a look at your connection, and I am seeing a strong signal to your radio. You should be receiving speeds greater than 100Mbps. We don't throttle our services. We try to deliver the fastest speeds possible on a "best-effort" basis up to 200 Mbps download/ 100Mbps upload and are not guaranteed, but we aim to deliver at least 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Best, Phillip
