I searched online for a storage unit close to my residence. I located Public Storage online and applied for a unit. I paid ******. I canceled the unit one week prior to moving in and requested a refund. So I travelled outside ** on September 25th to bury my dad and returned on November 15th. While outside, I saw a notification received in my email on Oct 8th after getting internet access that there is a lien on my property in the storages for sale due to no payment. I didn't notice the payment attempt failed on my card so the autopay system disabled. I'd like to know how this company could have an A+ rating with the ** with so many one star reviews. Their over all score is one star for ****** sakes. This place is a scam. They auction you belongings off wayy too fast. S*** happens in life and unless you can guarantee that you have the ability to pay your unit month to month then I suggest you don't rent a space here. Not from *******, belongings were stored at this Facility (*********************** Va. on 11/9 went to my storage unit on 12/1 and smelled pee and horrible death smell As I begin to go through my clothes, pee was all over my clothes, open my clothes that was on hangers with covers found dead rodents inside with maggots throughout my clothes. I don't know where to start cuz I've had many issues with them. My main issue is that you have to pay a whole month's pay for only staying there for 5 days. Originally was only going to use one day because I couldn't get to it and take it out on the 1st in the morning time. But they wanted a whole month's rent just for one day, I would have been out of there in the morning time. How do you justify that? I was paying $275/mo for a 10X15 storage and rats peed and pooped all over my possessions. I threw out many things. The ** *** wrote out the mgr's ph#. They love their rate increases, no extra nothing. Started a year ago with a rate of $112, then up to $160 and now surprising up to $206 and they don't blink and eye. Nothing new, just renting floor and air space. They give you one month notice so you won't have time to rent a truck and move your c*** out of their storage unit.Typical rip you off, just like our other greedy people.
