I rent a 10x20 unit in ******************************************************. I have been using the unit for over 8 years and today I realized the facility has been price gouging. I see units being charged max of $375 per month and they have increased my unit price to $647 per month. This is unethical and unfair business practice from Public Storage and the company needs to be held responsible for price gouging their existing customers who have been with them for over 8 years.

Public Storage ************ . Is a price gouging. They raise your rent up and down. Im paying at least 2-3 times the amount I started out with. I have small unit 4x7 and being charged $103 for it . Which is the price for like a medium 7x12. A 4x7 advertised is between $14-$18 dollars on the website. I do understand that is rate for new customers. But I should not have to be paying 3xs the amount for the price of a medium or small unit. This should be investigated. Rent should be going up and down every other month. They scam... read more

Here's the updated review including mention of predatory rental increases:Im extremely disappointed with my experience at Public Storage. They recently raised my rent by $38 a month with no warning, which feels like a predatory rental increase designed to squeeze more money out of customers. This makes it unreasonably expensive. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the escalating storage rates. This is an immoral company practicing a bait and switch scam.Brought us in at $68 and were charging $261 in a few months.There should be a commission that regulates them and they should be penalized for scamming the public.

Unprofessional employees who hide anything wrong with facilities until after they get you to reserve a unit. Dont care about security whatsoever and then lie to your face regarding why security is non issue. No concern for customer safety when it comes to ********************** snow. Dont bother calling 800 number to complain because you wont get a call back if told you will. Cant wait til contract is over so I can go elsewhere where customers are taken care of. Public storage eastern ave. *********. They're so bad, did not even on the BBB's list so I had to put it in here. Been there for about a year, they could just raise hikes without warning or explanation. Just got out of the hospital from surgery, after six emails, numerous phone messages. Please stay far far away from this public storage, the experience *** had here has been atrocious. Due to a leak in my storage no one even asked hey do you want to go to another storage? I lost a 2k couch due to leak in my storage. Luckily I had orange door insurance which is also a disaster-stay far away from it. The absolute worst. Constantly increasing rentals, despite new customers getting sucked in with rates a low a $1. Refused to give current customers the new customer rate. These people are price gougers. Almost nobody will fill a storage unit for just a few months. The bigger the unit the more they will rip you off. They are counting on you to find it easier to pay the higher rent than move.
