I have been storing my belongings in this storage unit for close to 10 years with minimal issues under Simply Self Storage. Since Public Storage took over the business from Simply Self Storage, it has been a complete nightmare. The fees are excessive!! The rental rates have been significantly increased. My unit has been broken into and vandalized multiple times within a 5 month period. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!

I paid the 27th due on a few days on the 1st. Despite being a holiday, I have an email and head quarters told me my unit is up to date, I get on the app and now a **************** 115, and I have to pay over the phone which is an additional 10. So this small hole on the wall is costing me 130$ when it's to be 44. I'm so confused no one can answer a question On top of it all last time I was in there, I saw roaches leaving my unit. So now I have to have all my stuff sprayed for roaches, I see I'm not the only one they scanned ... read more

The one star reviews say it all!!! I rented from this particular property in ******** MANY times over the years. After the experience with PS I would rather toss my less needed belongings rather than rent from PS again. 30% increase after 3 moths, CS cant do that in my system . Cannot book a smaller replacement unit in advance of a few weeks to save some cash, so now Im paying 30% for the existing unit and 1/3 month for the new unit. If you wait you may lose it. Unable to access my storage unit due to managements inability to fix their elevators. Main elevator is out of service and has been for months. Back up elevator is original to the 1920s building and works only occasionally. Attempts to speak to a district manager are thwarted because staff refused to give contact information.

I opened my storage locker at the Public Storage in ************* on July 2 2016. In the 8 1/2 years since then my rent, which started at 52$ a month has risen to $144, that is over a 175% increase. The unit I rent is an 8x10' unit air conditioned space. I have never missed or been late on a single payment, nor have I ever violated any of their rules or regulations. Public Storage uses predatory pricing practices - very unethical company In a very short time, the company increases your storage rental unit claiming false reasons such as government tax increases and/or other additional expenses. They are just making more profit out of people that need to store items.I rented a space 2 years ago that they have increased the storage change by almost 50%. This is a very unethical private company that is focused on making money out people in need.

Worse place I got in line and rented a storage unit in December 5 th move in date was December 12. I was told first months free. I didnt receive any communication about payment until. I moved in I have some very expensive electronics in there. Once I moved in I was informed that first months rent was down in the amount of ***** I had an issue with that being returned I got an email from my bank they say it was returned so I went in there web sight to resubmit the payment the same day I was notified. Stopped by to use my unit today. I am paying for climate controlled storage as I am storing sensitive electronic equipment among other things. There was no heat. In fact, it was the same temperature (37) as outside! There was no one in the office (1:00pm) and no one answered the phone.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES!!!!without notice they jack up the price- i started paying $407/mo and without notice, within just five months they are now charging $568!! with no notice whatsoever!! ridiculous! I'm so disappointed- they do not return phone calls or staff their office. I left the manager at this location, ********, two voicemails and never heard back! Now they are trying another scam!!!
